So I hear a loud crash and walk outside to my faience in her camry and my bike behind it laying on the drive. My faience is sitting in the car looking towards me like OMGWTFBBQGS500! I ran over to look at my GS that the camery had just KO'd. It was on the centerstand behind the car before it was body slammed into the drive. it landed on the right side. I was very surprised that there was no damage to the fairing other than one of the plastic pop rivets was broken. The can, crank case cover (I think thats what its called), bar end, mirror, and front break took damage. All cosmetic other than the brake lever. The lever is broken off about 1-1.5 inches in. Everything can wait to be replaced untill later except the brake. I have looked around on a few sites and do not see any brake levers for a GS500. Does anyone know a good place for parts? I saw a few brake levers listed on ebay.
DUDE! Get a new girl and make the old one get you a new bike.
Call the wedding off! :2guns:
that hurts sorry man
i got my brake lever from cyclegear
she better be a mean cook if let her get away with that
but yeah, I see both brake and clutch levers for the GS on eBay all the time
If your only going to order the break lever check with your local suzuki dealer. It might cost a bit more but after you add the freight chargers it will probally be a bit cheaper.

Found this website last week check out their prices.
I have been with her for 6+ years now. She offered to pay for the damages, not that it matters much. Her and my money is pretty much 'our' money. I will probably go the ebay route. It seems like it will be much less expensive that way. A friend of mine ran into a horse a few months ago. The insurance company totalled his bike even though all the damage was cosmetic. He bought it back for cheap then replaced all the dameged parts by buying new ones from ebay. He then resold the bike and made out like a bandit. Once he replaced the damaged parts it looked even better than it had previous to the wreck. I am sure I can get all the parts from ebay. I will probably stick to just the lever till I decide to get a new bike. I will repair all the cosmetic damage previous to selling it.
Good luck with it mate :icon_mrgreen:
and six years!!! Mate hurry up and make an honest woman of her will you :kiss3:
dude, sorry about your bike.
I learned that anything left behind my wifes car will get run over, bikes, lawnmower, garden hose, you need a new place to park
dont think for a minute she did that on accident...
there better be some plus's later on that night to make up for that move
that stinks, glad it wasn't hurt more. If its any consilation my fiance has backed into everything under the sun, in fact most of the items listed by Stephen072774 tack on an unmarked police cruiser and its about full. The only thing she hasn't gotten in my lawm mower, cause i gave it away to a friend when i moved to an apt with no lawn
she better blow ya or somethin
look for replacement gf 1st, then for replacement part... :nono:

HAHA! Yeah I heard that one at the office this morn when I told my other biker friends what happened. Just ordered a replacement brake lever during lunch at the local shop. It was surprisingly cheaper than ebay or any other online store. It was only $16 after tax and should be here within a few days.
it better be steak and blow job day for a week

I have to agree with Pantablo on this one. How many times has she talked to you about getting rid of the GS?
You need to get into a fight about it, and then the next day ( lying of corse ) tell her that its alright, its just a bike blah-blah-blah, and then have some wild crazy nasty make-up sex!!!

Actually she is cool with me getting another bike in addition to the GS within a few months.
Man I thought the thread title was saying that your fence ran over your bike, which would have been very interesting to read about.
