I responded to this motorcyle vs. deer crash on my patrol shift yesterday. The gentleman walked away by and large unscathed thanks to wearing full protective riding gear. The people I see riding in shorts and flip-flops probably wouldn't be as lucky :icon_razz:

that sucks.
wow. glad he was OK.
Looks like that bike slid quite a ways.
Good thing he's OK
Always wear your gear (I do!)
YIKES!
I was 2 feet from having a Me VS Deer day on Saturday. :o It's REALLY lucky that I slowed down before the corner, 'cause he was right in the middle of a blind turn.
I was able to stop fast enough and honk my horn to get him to run off. It's also lucky that my friend Jake saw me stop before running into me.
PHEW!!!
Holy crap... Makes me glad there are no deer around here. I lived in Michigan most of my life and have hit several out there. I hate deer. I'm glad that guy made it out well! That bike took a beating!
We have elk up where I am....damn scary to come around a corner and see (what at the moment seems like) a 50,000 lb creature looming in front of you. I've almost hit them while driving a car...but have been really lucky so far to not come against any on the bike.

NO DEER OUT HERE? WTF ARE YOU CRAZY? PLENTY OF THEM!
Last time I rode ACH in the evening we had a group of 3 run across the road no more than 10 feet from the lead bike.
How was the poor deer
I have yet to see a deer in LA. But, then I have been riding primarily through the city or deserts. I don't think a deer could survive in the places I ride.
there are dear everywhere in mainland US with the exception of some of the desert states in the west. So unless you live where the giant spiders, scorpions, or big rattlers play deer could be around the next bend.
Glad the rider came out ok! :o
Don't forget to include a "graphic" warning when you show such carnage! Poor bike! ???
YAY gear!
