Title: FYI: Fitment of a Bandit 400 FRONT wheel
Post by: dgyver on July 17, 2006, 09:49:57 AM
Just a comment about installing a Bandit 400 front wheel on a GS.....

As you may know, they look the same except for the Bandit rotor is mounted on the left side. I thought that there would be mounting holes on both sides, like the GS and Katana. But no! Remove the plastic hub cover and there are not any rotor mounting holes on the right side. The wheel casting is the same as it has the material for the holes.

I may eventually drill and tap this wheel to be able to mount a rotor on the right side. But for now it will put aside and another will take its place. Oh well.

Why dont you just use the GS wheel, but Bandit left fork leg, rotor and brake caliper ... so you'll have twin 320mm discs ... the largest ever known to man ...
Cool.
