Correct :thumb: We have a member of the auto cognescenti(wot?). Ford 289 Cobra wuz $5995 new, when I was a senior in H.S. A nice, clean, original went for $200K recently. Somebody should do an analysis of what $6K invested in 1965 would be worth today.

If, on Jan 1st, 1965, you put $5995 into an index tracking the Dow Jones, it would be worth $73,708.06 now.  Prety good investment for the car.
