I just got a factory manual, and it says that at each valve inspection interval you should re-torque the heads. It gives the torque values and the sequence but I don't know if I should loosen all the nuts then re-torque in the propper sequence, or just go one at a time, loosen number one then re-torque, loosen number two then re-torque, etc. Anybody done this before? or if someone has a chiltons or clymer manual maybe you could check to see if they provide more guidance.
Thanks
P.S. J.C. Whitney has a valve tool for $17, The local shop wants like $200 to do the adjustment, Hmm, tough choice.
As I recall, the Clymer's manual suggests that you loosen all the bolts following the tightening sequence, then tighten them per the sequence. Technically, I don't think it really matters.
the way i have always done balts up is to screw them all in to hold the thing in place then tighten 1 then 1 opisite to it and so on so every thing is inline and proberly sealed
