I don't know if my fork are cracked... Can someone look at there bike and tell me if theres a line on the bottom of the right fork?
thanks.
is it a stright line or is it a jagged line ? i just ask because most cracks are not stirght .. i'm not saying there not . its just very un common
its pretty straight... thats why i asked it ...
could be a casting mark, but you should make sure :thumb:
ITS NOT A CASTING MARK ! CAN SOMEBODY PLS CHECK FOR ME  I DON'T WANT TO GUESS ANYMORE!
Might help if you gave the year of your GS.
And if you were a bit more patient.
Perhaps if you could take a picture we might be able to look at it for you...

Whoa.. chillax dude...
Option 1: Pictures please? As close as you can get, and one slightly farther out showing the general area. NO FUZZY PHOTOS! Light the photo using a flashlight in a moderately lit room, holding the flashlight at a low angle to the surface. DO NOT use the flash, and DO NOT aim the light directly down on the area in question. :)
Option 3: (Poor man's dye penetrant)
Take a new red sharpie marker and mark the hell out of "crack". Push the felt tip hard right over the crack and scribble like a crayon. Wait a few minutes for it to dry, then wipe over it with a rag LIGHTLY moistened with acetone to remove the bulk of the ink.
If ink bleeds from the metal and looks like this you have a crack:

If all the ink cleans up you're likely OK.
Its an 06 GS500F... I just need someone to look at there right fork and tell me if theres a line at the very bottom of it..
it's easier for YOU to send US a picture of the potential problem. what you deem as a crack could be a number of normal things.
Easiest way:
Check the other side of the forl and see if the same line is there. If not, something MIGHT be wrong.
You mean the split at the bottom? Like where there's a bolt on the front to tighten the bearing that's inside the fork? Yeah, that's supposed to be there.
