There is a bike for sale that is a 95 Katana 600 with only 3700mi. on it. A lot of new parts and no apparent damage. Really nice teal green color. He's asking $3300 for it and that seems a bit stiff. He's in no hurry to sell but I still wonder...(Parma, OH).
I've never heard alot of good things about Katana

First thing I woudl find out is why an 11 yr old bike only has one season's worth of miles on it. Odds are that it will need new tires at the very least... at works there are mechanical problems from age or that have never been fixed.
$3,300 is too much. You could very easily get a lot more bike (and newer) than a Katana for just ~$400 more ('99 R6, '98 Superhawk, '02 SV-650, etc, '99 F4). My friend used to have a spotless '98 Katana 600 that he bought for $3200 a year ago.
A Katana 600 doesn't put out all that much more low-end power than a GS-500. It is a sport TOURER.. def NOT a sportbike... and easily the weakest 600cc streetbike on the market. Comfortable for long rides, bright-as-hell-headlight, and a fuel gauge... but it gets no respect among the race-replica ZX6Rs, R6's, GSXRs, Honda RR's... or the street sportbikes (F4, YZF, FZ6).
I wouldn't pay any more than 2500 for it... and truth be told i'd get a GS500 before I got a katana. Its just a dated bike and you can get so much more for that money.
