thats a niffty idea... the jacket dosnt look to bad... i kinda like it :thumb:
cool and different :thumb:
That's a pretty cool idea and a good implementation. I agree with the reviewer that the triggering mechanism seems a little underdeveloped but it definitely has potential. They're going to be damn expensive when they hit the market, that's for sure.

I don't know why they haven't started putting airbags on more motorcycles. Watching a show on it (Discovery channel?) it looks like a great idea. In a T-bone, it bounces you up and over the car so that you don't hit it head-first (and breaking your neck and/or head).
Yeah I remember Honda had a concept motorcycle with an airbag in the tank. But this seems a more logical way to do it
You know, with all those problems they had in cars with airbags I'm not so sure I want it placed in my groin.
I mean they do deploy at like 250 mph or something like that.

What no jokes about the placement of the bag? I mean its such an easier thing to make fun of
The problem with this jacket I think is that people will accidently deploy it when they forget to unhook the cable and hop off their bike. How many times have you heard about folks riding off after forgetting to remove their wheel lock? Yes, you can deflate and reuse it but you have to buy a new CO2 cartridge every time. Still a very slick design though.

And picture this....your just about to pull into your parking spot and you see an extraordinarily beautiful woman (or man) checking you and your bike out...you shut off the awesome GS and put down your kick stand....then you take your helmet off and shack your beautiful hair (or what is left of it) and give the lady (or man) a wink...as the beautiful lady (or man) walks toward you, you step off your bike...just before you can say hello...PUFF your air bag jackets goes off.....How cool are you now!!!
I seem to recall the airbags not being placed in the crotchal area. I believe they were mounted on the tank or the triple.
