hi
i have just put some softer after market brake pads on my GS500F and they make this buzzing sound which gets louder if i use the front brakes is this normal
i have put them in the right way because i took it to a bike shop after i installed them and he said it was all done right
i have topped up the brake fuild as much as i could
thank you
My front brakes do the buzzing thing as well. Appears to be louder with sintered pads than with the phenolic ones.
Yeah I filed that under things I should worry about and ask, and then never asked..
Sounds almost EXACTLY like a damn chicada (sp?) little bugs we have in NV that make well, that buzzing noise.
I don't mind my bike doing it, but those f%$king bugs need to die. (Cause they NEVER STOP ALL DAY LONG!!!!)
settle petal
and on the box it says my pads are made of kevlar lol

Yes, it's normal. The noise will decrease over time.
thank you everone for posting
thank you kerry you are a legend
Oh great, thanks again, I was about to ask the same thing.
Yeah mine started doing it more when I put on new kevlar pads too. I think it's worth it though, you never know when you might get shot in the brakes  at least they should be bulletproof.
