Title: Longer/Extended Brake Line
Post by: zolor on July 21, 2006, 06:21:38 PM
I recently converted my handlebars to the VF500 clipons, which add about 3 inches of rise and I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find an extended Brake Line for the front brakes.  Mine is currently stretched about 2.5 inches and something tells me this can't be too safe.

thanks in advance

I think there are 2 options. You could either pay a visit to your local bike-breaker and try to find a longer hose  from another bike that has the same fittings and is in good condition. Or you have a hose custom made. The pipe and fittings are all industry standard parts and any good Hydraulic Engineering firm will make one up for you if you take the old one as a sample. Do a websearch for `Hydraulic Hose Replacement` and find someone local or try these people.
