hey i was wondering if somecould tell me if the name of the place were these sliders conect?

Uhh Nick.. that's an engine mount.
*bangs face on keyboard until one or the other breaks*
Hehehehe
hey look if you look at the 4th picutre it looks like alphas, bike. prety nice.
ok sorry for the stupid question.
h67
def looks nicer and cleaner than crash guards except who knows howd theyd hold up in an actual crash.
Ehh... like most people have said.. those sliders are more for the event of a low speed drop. They'll protect your fairings, keep you from getting scratches everywhere, and that's just about it. They're a compromise between looks and protection. If you want maximum protection, you have to bite the bullet, remove the fairings, and add case guards. They're the maximum amount of protection you can have. So you gotta decide which you want. Better looks, or more protection. I'm willing to bet that I know which way you'll go.

Negative. They won't protect your fairings because they were never intended to be run with fairings. To run these on an F you would have to cut holes in your fairings. And judging from the length of these, they aren't long enough to stick past the fairing. But go ahead and try,Nick......
The crash bungs go streight into the engine bolts on these. Unlikey they would bend in an accident on impact of a slide, however if you were to high side and land on the bung they would probably bend. Crash bungs for bikes with fairings most of the time won't save your fairing in my personal experience. They usually stop them from cracking but don't stop em scratching.
That is where i have my home made frams sliders located. they have been very helpful in preventing scratches from low speed or stoped drops but i have no idea how they will preform in high speed crash.
Dude, no offense but hwo in the world do those roller skate wheels on sticks look better than this?
http://www.gstwins.com/photogallery/albums/userpics/13037/2006-05-25_009.jpg
Thanx to Alpha's Bike for being the model.
And I really really doubt that they'd be anywhere near as good......
I do believe that you'd have to sut the fairings so they stick out. But of course, like someone pointed out...
Putting them on the engine mount won't help. Might cause MORE problems if dropped

Nicky is a bling bling man. And fairings = bling bling. And since you can't have fairings AND case guards. Nicky is keeping the fairings.

Ok.. not to be a duck.. but THAT is a bullshit response.
I think it's more appropriate to say
"You wouldn't understand unless you were a hormonal teenage male"
or
"You wouldn't understand unless you were a young male"
or
"You wouldn't understand unless you felt a burning need to be 'cool' "
or
"You wouldn't understand unless you felt the need to be showy"
or any number of other sentences. The "need" to be "cool" or "bling bling" does not come from the location. It comes from within the rider. How's THAT for a deep thought?
+1
location matters a lot, u dont see to many bling out bikes in the middle of the hilibily towns.
Location doesn't mean shaZam!. It all comes down to you. You see bling bikes. You feel the need to be accepted. We all feel it. Many of us give in to it.
But again, I say: Location don't mean shaZam!. I live in Atlanta. ATLANTA. Where the players play (or some such bullshit as that, I don't listen to (c)rap music.)
Do you see me riding on dubs, or spinners, or blasting rap, or riding a stretched, chromed busa, 2up without gear, etc?
No. I bought a used, functional,(to me) aesthetically pleasing naked GS500. Because I care about what I think, and I don't give a flying f%$k about what other people think. The GS works for me. I think it's beautiful. Sure, some won't like it, cuz it's not flashy enough. Know what? Fuggem. Most people who will rip on me/you/anyone for having a "small" 500cc bike don't have a bike! First (and only guy) so far who tried to give me shaZam! was out with his girlfriend, asked me what I was riding (he saw my gear). I told him a gs500. He said "Oh, just a little five hundred, huh? When you moving up to a real bike?" (Trying to appear cool in front of his (rather attractive) girlfriend) I said "Oh, whenever I'm ready. How long have you been riding, and how big is YOUR bike?".. He got a little uncomfortable, replied "Oh, uh, I've never ridden, I don't have a bike.. but I'm gonna get at least a 600, maybe a 750, cuz I hear you get bored with those 600s quick".. Then he STFU and walked away, cuz he knew he was a tard.
Moral of the story: Do what you like. Bling your bike to the gills. But don't blame it on your location. You do what you do because that's what you want to do, not because of where you live.

Nick, its obvious that you've never been outside of Miami. But there are plenty of areas in every state and town that have the bling clique(so to speak). Guys that cant really ride but dress there bike up in some of the most outlandish ways possible.
I myself can't speak much on the subject because im sure some of the track guys wouldnt approve of some of my plans but its my bike

Ehh.. see my sig. And I'll play nicely when the other children stop trying to lick the electrical outlets. Maybe I should just let em?
NGFL, do not fear... Your Sticky Brother is here!!!
I live in the Springfield, MA area, and EVERYWHERE you look, there is a ricer car with tricked out stereo systems, limo-tinted windows, large chrome rims, etc... on a car that they bought for $500. Granted, there are some nice looking cars out there, but it's their cars.
My cars & bike do not qualify to be in the same category as these other bling-bling cars. I am in the right age/gender bracket. 25 yo male. And yet I don't succumb to the "ricer" world.
I agree with NGFL 100%... Location does not make one difference for this topic.
Oh... BTW... I've seen MANY.... MANY... MANY "country-side" homes with a bling-bling car in the driveway.

Absolutely let them lick the electrical outlets if it's a choice between that and acting like a jack@$$ toward other members, because those who decide to follow recent bad examples of behaviour will go stand in the corner. :thumb:

I don't understand how I'm part of the pack mentality? A pack would indicate many. s I see it, I'm in the minority here. As in.. One.. maybe two. Hardly a pack.
I'm not being a jackass. Not once have I attacked Nick personally. I've shown him his options. I've shown him his errors. I've shown him his previous posts. Have I once called him a jackass? (Which could be taken as a personal attack, no?) Have I once said I think he's dumb? No. I told him "Do what you want. But don't make excuses." I'm all for people doing what they think is cool. To a certain point. I'm all for wheelies, stoppies, whatever, ON A CLOSED COURSE. Where do I draw the line between personal freedoms and my right to step in? When my life/property are in danger. Yes, I think Nick is squidly. He says he's calming it down though, and that's good.
I don't think Nick has had a problem with any of my posts. He hasn't said anything. Do you have a problem with me, Nick? I mean hell, we share a name. I may rag the kid for being a squid, but that's in an effort to keep him (and others) alive. I may rag him for bad spelling/grammar.. but we all know I'm the resident grammar nazi.
Now, onto Pandy. Pandy, I like you. You've been nothing but nice to me. Except for the recent spate of name calling. You were there when I left GSTwins for awhile, due to Danimal. Danimal and I have since reconciled our differences, and talk on AIM. I know some people don't like your modship style. That's fine. I think you do a decent job, most of the time. However, I think you have wrong idea about what mods do. I've talked with John, he seems like a good guy. We talked after that whole bout of problems with TickleMyButtPlug, or whatever. He seems to have a pretty low tolerance for stupidity. For my opinion on stupidity, see my sig. Nick's being dumb. I'm pointing it out to him. I'm not being mean about it. I'm just showing it to him. I say things, and let the chips fall as they may.
As for being put in the corner. It's a forum. Forums are for communication. Nick and I are communicating. It's not a personal attack. It's not even an argument. There's no name calling (until someone else entered the conversation). Nick and Nick are exchanging viewpoints. This thread hasn't even been deemed Tardworthy yet. I've seen much worse go unchallenged. I seem to recall one @$$hole making a statement about what drunk women are for. He wasn't publicly challenged by anyone in power.
So do you really think that threatening me in this case is right? Or even merited? I don't. I know many others who don't either. If Nick's old enough to have his bike, ride it around, go to college.. i.e., exist in the real world, he's old enough to face a little adversity. That's what life is. An unending stream of adversity. Sometimes it's a trickle, sometimes it's a raging flood. But it's there. Like I said. This is just a message board. If he can't hack it here (and it seems like he's hacking it fine. We all give him shaZam!, and comes right back, and takes it all in stride) then he sure as hell couldn't hack it in real life. I'd say things are fine the way they are. If you really feel like pushing some buttons and doing a few clicky-clickies, move this to the tard farm. Bans would be unnecessary, counterproductive, and just plain.... dumb.. no other way to put it.
Ok, my piece is said. Bring on the replies.. this'll be fun!

Uhh.. I didn't say Nick was dumb. I said he's being dumb. Huge difference. Smart people can be dumb. I'm a smart kid. I do dumb things. All the time. It's part of growing up. We do dumb things, we have bad experiences, we learn that one leads to the other, and start trying to avoid them. Nick's making his noob mistakes. I'm pointing them out. We all make em. How do we learn to stop doing things that are bad? By either: A. Someone with more experience telling us. or B. Ignoring the person in part A, doing whatever it is, and getting hurt. Then we learn from the pain. I'm a big believer in learning through bad experiences. That's probably why I have countless scars all over my body (not to mention the ones inside my head ) Believe it or not, I'm trying to help Nick out. I think Nick realizes that I'm not being too hard on him. I'm showing him things. Hell, I'd be the first to buy Nick a beer.. Assuming we could both get into a bar, and we could both drink legally. Which won't happen for several years (Nick, you're 19, right?). So yes, I really am trying to do Nick a favor. And I'm fairly certain Nick hasn't been offended by anything I've said yet. Nick, speak up man! Am I pissing you off? Cuz I thought we were having a fairly mild discussion. Say the word, I'll drop this topic like a hot rock, and never touch it again. Until such time, I'll continue to contribute, as I see fit. I'll keep discussing. Since this is a discussion board. Since that was the designers' intent when they wrote the software for a bulletin board. Since that was John's intent when he started a message board and allowed people to join.

I'm not looking for a fight. I'm airing my opinions. We all know about opinions. Mine are right, yours are wrong. The end. Hahahaha... that's about how some people see it, wouldn't you say? Seriously though. I'm not here to pick a fight. However, nor will I stand by idly while I'm threatened, rather heavy handedly, for no good reason either. Nick and I are having a discussion. I haven't attacked Nick, nor do I mean for him to feel as though I have. If he tells me I'm coming on too strong, I'll back off, no questions asked, no further comments made. But that's between Nick and Nick. I'm not breaking any rules of the forum, I'm not posting pornographic links, I'm not even being overly vulgar. I'm not even trying to find my way around the word filter! I'm using the board as it was intended to be used. Mods are there to enforce the rules, as laid down by the owner/creator of the board. Not to create their own rules, simply because they don't feel a discussion is productive. So all I ask is to be left in peace to use the forum to have a conversation. Like I said. Nick, chime in, tell me what's up. Hell, hit me on AIM, I'll add you to the GSTwins section of my buddy list, and hell, maybe we'll ride together someday, you're only about 2 hours from me across the Alley. You want me to stop, I'll stop. But I'm trying not to be bullied into stopping by third parties because of their own delicate sensibilities.
My replies are in bold.
I think that most people are missing the point here. We are mostly concern with Nick's aparent lack of maturity and responsibility. We are concerned that he is danger to himslef and others when he is on the bike and has not showed that he is mature enough or responsible enough to be on a bike. Everything else is just secondary

Ok, I'll address your points in order. Pablo, I wasn't once there. I've not had the insanely squidly urges that Nick has. I've been a strong advocate of the search function since WELL before I joined GSTwins. I'm still a strong advocate of the search function. And when someone asks a n00bly (can you use n00b as an adjective?) question, I'll do the search for them, post the links, and show them the search string I used. I'm behaving. Believe me, I'm behaving. I haven't attacked anyone, I haven't been exceptionally vulgar, I haven't used slurs, I haven't done anything very offensive at all. As for the shaZam! you went through with AJ.. I don't know everything that happens, I get a one-sided account, from AJ. But from all I've seen, it's not that much shaZam!. AJ posted stuff as she saw it. Anyone who was around for long knew not to take her seriously. Again, the thing about opinions. Hell, even OMW posts things as he sees em.. can't remember ever seeing him threatened with a ban. He says things that are waaaaay more personal than ANYTHING that I've ever even CONSIDERED typing. Despite the fact that I don't always do it in the NICEST manner, I do my best to be informative. I'll admit, the comment about banging my face on the keyboard probably wasn't helpful, and was in no way related to the original question. But, it sure as hell was funny! Remember funny? That thing that goes hand in hand with a sense of humor? Where you laugh? And enjoy life? I know I got a laugh out of the mental image. I'm sure several others did too. Hell, I bet even Nick laughed (the other one, not me) And I answered the question, didn't I? Nick knew I was messing with him.
If its a simple question give a simple NON CONDESCENDING answer if you feel compelled to answer. IF its a dumb question...well, the only dumb questions are those that people are afraid to ask.
Fine. I'll do my best to be non condescending. Can I be sarcastic? Let me put it this way. Nick's been on the board long enough to understand that I have a slightly sarcastic, slightly caustic personality. Like a toned down, straight AJ... When I answer a complete n00bcake's questions, I'm not a smartass, because THEY DON'T KNOW ME. NICK DOES. I think he's smart enough to not take it as an insult.
And I guess I sorta agree with the dumb questions thing. I've always thought more along the lines of "There are no stupid questions. Only stupid people." (THAT'S A JOKE... THE FUNNY THING! Ya know, where the corners of your mouth curl up. You show some teeth. Like a growl, but less menacing)

Yama, of course we're all concerned with the safety of our members. Riders are going to do what they do. Giving them food for thought is good, but one can do this in a respectful manner. The fact of the matter is that there are MANY riders who don't belong on a bike, and there are MANY drivers who don't belong in cars. The other fact of matter is that nick DOES have a bike, and he's coming to *US* for help. Hopefully, we can give him enough help to grow and mature in his riding. Heck, I hope that *I* get enough help to grow and mature in my riding here, and that's my hope for all of us.
Making the roads safer for all of us won't be accomplished by treating n00bs like dirt and chasing them away. Would you rather have them here trying to learn something, or out on the road trying to figure it out on their own?
I am the last person to jump into a controversy...I keep to myself and let AJ fight her own battles. I answer questions when I have helpful imput and I shut up when I don't....but I think the issue with Nick (and I'm not saying he should leave or anything of the such) is that he doesn't seem to believe what people tell him. I think part of asking questions is respecting the answers you get. Why ask if you don't care about the answers? He gets an answer to something, and then continues to re-ask them. In case you haven't noticed..I don't think Nick is leaving any time soon
This forum seemed innately different than the masses of forums out there when I joined..there are two things keeping me here right now 1) Rich, I feel closer to him when I come back and read those posts and I miss him. Everyday. I still cry over it. He was my friend and it hasn't gotten any easier for me. 2) There is a wealth of information in those back logs.
I'm kind of ashamed to be a member here lately. It's sad when I'd rather hang out with people from Ride-NY There's no respect among members, the sense of community has dwindled, and it seems like people are on a power trip. I've been going through a lot lately, including potential citizenship issues, I'm having a very hard time feeling like I belong anywhere, gstwins was my sanctuary..now I feel like I don't belong here either. :dunno_white: I've got alot of friends from here but sometimes you gotta bite it and move on..and unfortunately I think we're about to lose alot of good knowledgeable members...

Okay I usally stay outt these type of things....but I've been reading all of these posts lately, mostly for my own amusement. Honestly, I'd have to side w/ Pandy and Pablo on this one. It was kinda funny in the beginning, but the insults have been getting outta hand lately. Anyway, I've relied pretty heavily (...okay entirely) on this site for info. on my bike. I think it'd be a shame if any new comers didn't think they could get that same benefit. I'm not being condescending in any way, but I don't get this post. Maybe I missed something, but I don't see how Nick has shown a lack of maturity and/or responsibility. From what I've read he's just wanted to mod. the crap outta his bike like any of the rest of us. I think before he talked about doing wheelies and stunts and stuff, but that's neither a lack of maturity or responsibility. That's a choice. Sure it has to be done responsibily (like not doin' 100 on the highway on one wheel) but again just a choice. Anyway, just my .02

Umm did anyone notice that we hijacked Nick_Villan's thread?
Anyone at all?
Nick, pm me and I'll talk them over with you if you want. I'll even show you pictures of what a GS500F looks like when you remove the fairing. You might like it better, you might not. I'll even give you some tips on how to fabricate sliders if you want and let you know how to cut the fairing if you need to.
Regardless, case guards are the best option, at least that's my 2 cents. But if they're not for you we'll figure out what is.

Ok. I'm contributing. I'm posting. I'm being non threatening, non vulgar, trying to have a conversation. It may not be a conversation that you approve of. But it's a conversation that doesn't break any rules. It's like if I were to be at a table with a friend, telling jokes about Korean people. And a Korean at the next table over heard them. He might get upset. But really, what can he do? Telling jokes isn't against the law. In fact, it's strictly set down in the law that I CAN tell jokes. (For the record, I picked Korean people because I am one. Well, half of me is.) I don't see how you guys even see fit to warn me. I really can't. I'm not even being a smartass. I see nothing wrong with anything I've typed. No obscenities. No personal attacks. Nothing that breaks any of the forum rules. I'm being a BILLION times more civil than ticklemebink was. I seem to recall her being VERY rude, and then, when we were rude back, we were lectured by the mods about how bad we were. I'm not being rude at all. I may be expressing a viewpoint that you don't agree with, but I'm expressing it in a straightforward, civil manner. Any actions on your part will be solely due to you imposing your wishes upon everyone else. If I broke rules, I'd understand the threats. But I don't see where you're coming from. It's as if a cop stopped me and said "Son, if you don't stop listening to Country music right now, I'm gonna arrest you!" See, Country music is legal. But that one cop doesn't like it. Instead of dealing with his own dislike, he'd be forcibly imposing his will upon me, doing nothing but engendering resentment towards himself, not only from his victim, but from a countless number of the victim's friends and acquantances.

What do you think I'm trying to do? Ever hear of tough love? Just cuz you knock the crap outta someone doesn't mean you're not trying to help 'em! Pain is learning. Pain says "hey, that's a bad idea, don't do it again" and the body learns. Even if a person won't listen to your words. They listen to pain. Ever told anybody "Don't touch that, it's hot!" Only to watch them put a finger on said object, then recoil quickly, put the finger in their mouth and go "Damn, that's hot!" They didn't listen to your words. But I'll be damned if they're gonna put their fingers on that object again! I dunno bout you.. but I'd rather see Nick learn his lesson through verbal abuse than through skin grafts!
Making the roads safer for all of us won't be accomplished by treating n00bs like dirt and chasing them away. Would you rather have them here trying to learn something, or out on the road trying to figure it out on their own?
We're not chasing him away. We're trying to help him learn here. How do we help? We answer his questions. We can't help it if we get frustrated after he asks the same question 3 times, and then refuses to believe us when we answer. He got a lot better about it. Now he's the resident expert on exhausts for the GS500F, the first one to respond to all the noobly posts about exhausts. And that's a good thing, he's learning! But now he's semi-reverted to his old ways, asking questions, receiving answers, asking same question again. I'm trying to stop him from reverting fully.
Responses in bold
I get funny. funny is good. funny at the expense of another isnt that funny anymore. you didnt happen to insult koreans and have a korean overhear you. you went to the korean and told him to eat shaZam!. there's a difference in that behavior. there is plenty of sarcasm and smartass here for everyone. nothing wrong with a little of that. you are giving in excess. I'm asking you to tone it down for the benefit of those that maybe dont know you as well as nick does. I suppose I missed the info about you two being best buds or something, then I would understand your comments and thinking he 'knows you're joking'.
This is the last time I'm going to say it. STFU.
you know i want to thank everyone here for their wonderfull help over the several months with my bike, u certainly did give me some really good ideas, but aperantly i dont belong to this comunity, ill stick to the old fashion way of loocking on google and asking questions to my neigbour.. I will post pics of my exhaust and a sound clip when im done.
ps: for everyones info i have always ridin with my joe rocket jacket, steel toes, jeans and a helmet, that one pic of me was infront of my house and was the only time i didnt wera it. I havent been stunting in 4 months and when i did i would practice in a back alley with friends. Know im off with my drag friend and the drag comunity. thanks once again for everyones help over the last month. defenetly got some good ideas.
Sincerly Nick VIllanueva
Ah, Nick. Don't act like that, dude. We all get our panties in a bunch every once in awhile but you know that you are always welcome.
Seems like NGFL was just giving you sh*t as everyone does because you usually ask some pretty far out questions or make crazy replies to some threads(SO do I)
No biggie. You're being yourself and that's all you can be.
So, come on back, partner O0 :thumb:
DAMMIT NICK. You know damn well nobody wants you to leave. Hell, I was just talking with AJ 10 minutes ago in the chat room, and she said she never got to see your "Let's make a truce thread" because she got banned before that, but that she would have gladly made a truce. So calm down. You and I both know that you won't find a better source of info for the GS than the people here. Look at starwalt and dgyver and srinath, there's so much information stored inside those brains...
Freakin stick around.. just cuz we give you some crap doesn't mean we don't like you. BELIEVE ME... if I didn't like you, or thought you were unsafe, I wouldn't have mentioned a ride sometime. I don't ride with people who make me nervous.. Now.. I may not ever let any of your friends on the back of my bike.. or even near my bike... but it doesn't mean I don't like you. So, as, supposedly, the number on instigator here, I'm asking you to stay. Alright?
He isn't leaving. He is just not going to post anymore. Only to inform us of the progress with his bike.
And to be honest i don't blame him one bit. Does no one on here have the slightest bit of tollerence. Its a bloody forum and certain members all go skits because someone asks a stupid question. So what if they asked a stupid question you either ignore it or you say search under "blah blah blah" thats all that is required. Theres no need to go SEARCH NOOB SCUM! and start a thread about how you hate noob posts. Also particular members here get extremely sketched out by other people annoying them. We all get on each others nerves, it is part of life, but so is learning to deal with it. If someone really annoys you so much - stop talking to them or take a deep breath.
Quote from: NiceGuysFinishLastNick's being dumb. I'm pointing it out to him. I'm not being mean about it. I'm just showing it to him. As for being put in the corner. It's a forum. Forums are for communication. Nick and I are communicating. It's not a personal attack. It's not even an argument. There's no name calling (until someone else entered the conversation).
As for NGFL you were a noob and a nood. You have no right to tell nick what to do. I don't care how you squirm your way out of the fact that what you say to nick is abuse. It is not your place to "share all the knowledge you have learnt from past experience" or whatever you said. Nick is an adult and capable of learning for himself. And as i said before in another thread where some stupid argument was happening for exactly this reason, you never really learn something till its happened to you. So we can advise nick and try and keep him safe but he will do what he wants and he will learn from it.
Ok im done again, third post on this sort of topic in the last 2 days. I don't believe that its just me that thinks people here have no tollerence and can't control their hormones. This is *exactly* what we try to avoid by trying to create a WELCOMING place on GSTwin for experienced AND new riders. Statistics show that riders who learn from their buds are not likely to do as well as those who learned from professionals and experienced riders. But I don't blame nick one bit for being sick of the garbage that's been going on.
nick, you absolutely belong in this community, and I'm just sorry that--once again--some members of GSTwin have made another newcomer feel unwelcome and as if he doesn't belong. This isn't an isolated instance; it's shameful that's it's happened even once, but for this to keep happening again and again is inexcusable.

if you look at that site linked to in the first post, there IS a set of sliders that fit to the F models. it requires only slight trimming according to the site, but the full slider does stick through. Of course case guards would provide the most protection, but for most F- model riders those are not an option. this set is MUCH better than just plain drilling holes into the frame. this was discussed some in another thread. they are mounted to the engine mounts (which are part of the frame), which distributes any impact over a large area. of course many would be concerned with damage to the engine in the event of a crash, but frame sliders arent designed to cause damage to the bike's engine, or a bike's frame if they are attached there. they will break before that happens. frame sliders are mostly for protection while sliding. most people put them on their bikes to protect their expensive faring from getting all scuffed up. dont think they will protect your bike from a real nasty impact. case guards are the best protection, but these are batter than custom frame-drilled sliders and much better than nothing at all....
p.s: dont leave nick I love you :kiss3:
:dunno_white: Well, if they break then they are pointless....
Quote from: average on July 24, 2006, 10:22:41 AM
:dunno_white: Well, if they break then they are pointless....
The point is:
1) They don't break in a small incident, and save your fairings.
2) In a "larger" incident, they break to save the engine/frame but sacrifice the fairings.
3) In the largest incident, everything is hosed
Case #1 is better with them than without them, and case #2 and #3 are no worse than not having them (except having paid for them)
What is STFU?

I would say that Miami has more bling than Atlanta. (Miami def has more billionaires)... but Atlanta has way better riders than Miami (Miami = flat with no mountains within a 8 hour drive).
I bought a bike so that I could ride it. If my intent was to chrome it up and pose for pictures on it, then i would have bought a Harley... or a Hayabusa
If you're trying to bling a GS500 then all you'll get is disdain from the droves of no-helmet-wearing crotch-rocketeers that ride around Miami. To them, its like putting lipstick and make-up on an elephant.
Ok, Miami probably does have more billionaires than Atlanta.
But what about Naples, the place where I've lived for roughly 16 of my 20 years? Ya know.. the city in the US with the most millionaires per capita?

And I really really doubt that they'd be anywhere near as good......
i actually dont mind the way those look. and with my bike being parked on the street where anyone can knock it over while parking their car, im gonna look into getting one. just wish they didnt cost so much.
do a search in the wtb/wts forum.. someone was selling OEM suzuki Case Guards for like $60, vs. the $120 I paid for mine, shipped, fromt twisted throttle.
can't bling out a GS ? have you lost your mind ? i'v seen some pretty sick GS500's on here ! i'v been here for almost a year (wooohoooo) and let me tell you .. i'v seen some pretty crazy stuff .. you would be like . man .. is that a gs 500!? nick dont ever let anyone tell you . you cant do somthing . if they dont like your ideas . screw them let them be and keep at what your doing . you can bling that 500 out . you just have to be willing to put that money out there . theres a lot of ppl that dont know a. 500 from a 1000 find someone willing to paint your whole bike as a sceam and run with it . be one of this other bikes that ppl drool over ! i would love to pait my gs . but i dont have the money right now. i'm going back to college but you better belive when i get out its all being dumped in the gs ( i also have an 01 eclipse thats on the back burner cuz of my bike :P ) i will have it painted then i will have motor work done . or the other way around . i want to go fast before i look good :P so keep at it . if drag is your thing then cool stick with it. talk to ppl here about motor mods you can do there going to be your best bet we have alot of motorheads here that know about it. as far as launches and getting your time down and stuff. stick to the drag community . i mean i can kinda help you with the drag. i'v been doing it for a bit . i have dragraced my gs500 ( and i knew it would not hold up in a head to head but its allll about bracket racing buddy ) so keep at it and keep going . if you want that fairing keep it ( i love mine . not for just looks but man it sure dose cut down on that wind :P )
