What do you'll think? I was driving all day yesterday.. And taking a corner fairly agreesively (for me anyways).. 60mph, 45degree lean.. And my back tire (well the whole back of the bike) started to woble for a second.
My tire PSI is about 10-15percent low (need to put in about another 6psi per tire) I just found out. But would that do it? The road looked clean.
many thanks!
The low pressure would DEFINITELY do it.
My bike has felt unstable in corners lately, poor traction on wet surfaces, and head wobble at high speeds, if I remove my hands from the bars to stretch. ( I know, that last one is a bad idea :nono: :nono: etc.. but I do it. So deal.)
I checked my tire pressure, since I haven't done so for about a week. 9PSI low in the back and 6 low in the front. Corrected that this morning, before my ride, and everything is hunky dory.
Awesome news for me!! Thanks for your answer. I will def get that taken care of next time I ride.. which is hopefully tomorrow :)
No problem. I was pissed off, wondering what was wrong with my bike, since it NEVER wobbled before. Then I was like "Oh, duh.. tire pressure.. obvious!"
I'm 99% sure that's your problem. Might wait to see if others chime in with other ideas too. But I'd bet that's it. If I was a betting man. Which I'm not. Fill 'er up, check her with an (accurate) tire guage, and ride the crap out of her! Check back in here to let us know, so that in the future, this post may help others fix their problems..
Absolutley! most common cause of the wibbly-wobblies is low preasure, back or front!

Wow.. Cal agreed with me! WOOHOO!!
another reason apart from the tyre pressure is the soft gs shock, my bike used to feel like a hovercraft untill i got the sv650 shock, probly the best upgrade ive done, might be worth looking into for you as well
+1
I rode my bike 10 low in the rear, 8 low up front...didn't even realize it ....kept wondering why it was handling like absolute crap....fixed tire pressure and it ran perfect.

Glad I'm not the only one who managed to do it..
I've done that too. Even on my rr I had massive headshake on one road and it turned out to be low tire pressure too.
NGFL-nice responses, still some sarcasm and self depreciation without belittling the original noobish question. lets see more of this and less of the other.
