Yeah, I saw Anti's first post a few days ago and thought someone had resurrected an old thread again. Much to my surprise...he's back!
-Turd.
What kind of mirrors are those? They look awesome. How well do they work?
Antibody, forgive me if I drool on your bike.
Two questions:

Wait.. maybe I'm just a dumb nubc@ke.. but what's different about his seat lock? It looks just like the factory one on my '02?
But I'll second the mirrors thing.. those are nice.. and having just snapped one of my stockers, I'm in the market for new mirrors
Damnit that's what I get for having a 1990
Anyone want to find a way to convert the seat lock for me?

Uhh.. what's yours look like?
A dangling turd. Lol
Really not sleek at all lol
CirclesCenter - You should be able to get the newer style seatlock by swapping to a newer style tail plastics.
Yes, the seat lock is stock. Awesome isn't it. haha
The mirrors are hagen F1 mirrors from www.whaccessories.com They are too pricey. Why, because I thought by paying that much they would last forever, but they are racing mirrors and snap very easy. I can't put a cover on my bike without taking them off first. The weight cracks the joint between the mirror and stalk. I basically never have my mirrors on these days. I just turn my head. They are compatable for naked or a faired bike though. Thats cool. I have seen the same type elsewere for much less, but I can't recall where.

EDIT: they are here too http://www.4-motorcycles.co.uk/acatalog/Universal_Mirrors.html
Then I may just rip off your measurements. (Please?)
I'm also thinking of building my own CNC machine. (I know this sounds outlandish, but hear me out)
All I need is some free time, a dremel and an old inkjet printer. A few controller boards of course, but nothing too exotic. Unfortunately the biggest things I'll be able to make will be limited (those mirrors would probably have to be two pieces.) And the hardness of the parts limited by the cutting tool (dremel) I know I could make bank off you kids by making custom parts like mad. :)
Ahh, the Hagen F-1s. Great looks, but zero on-the-fly adjustability and craptacular plastic. To adjust them you have to loosen a nut (or screw, I forget which) then position the mirror and retighten. If it isn't where you want it, repeat.
They do look freakin' fantastic though. My father had them on his FZ1 before he took them off (one of them broke, the other had the mirror fall out).
They have since been replaced with a set by Rizoma. Anti, if you want to drop some bills on a universal mirror for your bike(s), both present and future, Rizoma is the way to go. Their mirrors adapt to both bar and fairing mounts with the proper adaptors.
Thanks Alpha. I'll look into it. My turn signals are rizoma and they are of great quality.
Circles, you want the measurments of my mirrors?

welcome back, although i whouldn't see why you whould want to stay.

Yeah, Rizoma mirrors are downright STURDY. I saw two different types on PJ and Paige's bikes this year (they are the US distributor for Rizoma) and was shocked at how hefty they were. Which ones do you have?
Rizoma in the US:

These are the ones my dad got (his are in black though):

And the bar mount adaptor:

You can mount any Rizoma mirror to the bar mount adaptor, and you can probably find a set on eBay. Worth taking a look at. All billet aluminum construction, so you know it isn't going to break on your if you put a cover over the bike (same thing happened to my father).

well f%$k you too brian, trying to sneek one in below the belt.
Anti, yeah that would be cool, but nothing is happening until I get my damn stepper motors for the table to quit binding.
