I'm sure she went off like that on camera to be sure there was no question that she was uninvolved in planning that little prank.  Something like that could get a newscaster fired.  That was a pretty dumb thing to do on what appears to be a network morning show.

She would have retained a lot more credibility if she'd calmly handled the sitch.....turned to the camera, and calmly announced that that wasn't part of the plan, but that this was proof that you can't always plan for imbeciles!

Yeah.  A dumb prank can get a newscaster fired, but I can imagine so would losing your head in a situation like that.  You have to be able to keep your cool is tricky situations, that's part of being a reporter.

I still don't think her reaction was unprofessional.  No swearing, no flipping out, just a good talking to given to the idiot who thought it was a good idea to fake a bloody accident on live network TV.  I would be just as agitated as her if I were in her shoes.  I think she handled it well.  If she just turned to the camera and smiled and said "we'll be right back", I would be like WTF?  And that guy NEEDED to get told off on live TV for the crap he pulled.  He totally deserved it.

You have to wonder what that moron was thinking......

It's like, "Hey I know what would be a good idea, and GREAT FOR MY CAREER!"

I was kind of expecting someone to come out and be like, "WTF ARE YOU DOING TO MY BIKE D**KHOLE!!!!!"
