man if gas goes up that high around here I am going to ride the bike all year round no matter what is coming down outside. i sense a trip to the gas station like now.
I can only hope!
To hell with $4/g... I say make it $10/gallon. :thumb:

Yup! Once gas gets really bad, I'm gonna use my SUV as a vacation home, use the car as a storage shed, use the GS when I have to go somewhere far, and use a bicycle to go to work and closer places.
Once gas is no longer available, I will use the GS as a planter. :thumb:
I already pay that much (1.20 CAD / l)... and it's still moving up... :o
another qtr of record profits!!!!!!
it's all BS.....any excuse to raise it
and we still buy it...why should the lower it.....
Supply and demand.
when i was riding down the coast last week i saw one gas station at big sur was $4 gallon and about 40miles down from big sur there was a full service one and it was $5 gallon

Yep. I've been giving a link in my sig for a while: ElectricMotorcycles.net (http://electricmotorcycles.net). After I get the 90 running, I plan to do a conversion of another 90 frame. Lot's of neat pictures there on Ebikes.
Did you know about the KillaCycle (http://www.killacycle.com/pages/index.html) drag bike?
For many of us, an ebike would do 85% of our use. When it comes to EVs, the problem is not a motor technology isssue, it is a battery technology issue. You get ALL the torque from an electric motor initially, whereas with an internal combustion engine, we depend on RPM/rotating mass to provide torque.

yea, i am.
the av 100LL gas smells great to has a sweet smell to it. i pulled the timing up. pulles a little harder low iend is great.
another plus is, that it cleans the corbon off the head, valves and exhust (lead) i ust have to keep an eye on the plugs to be sure they dont foul out with lead (and that can be picked out)
last summer after katrina our county was flooded with rumors that a gas truck haulage strike was gonna happen. There was a run on gas, people lined up for miles to wait to get gas... practially every gas station ran out of gas, and that caused more rumors. It was all over alsolutely nothing. the most insane thing i had ever seen, people freeking out over nothing.
I remember that Stephen gas prices went out the roof, almost every gas station I passed was out of gas by the time I got off of work. Lucky for me I found a little mom and pop gas station that still had gass, I was almost on empty
$4.00 a gallon?? Fill your boots guys!. My local station charges £0.98 a litre for leadfree and it goes up and down almost daily, there are 3.785 lts in a US gallon so thats £3.70 for the equivilent of a US gallon of petrol here in the UK. £3.70 is just under $7.00 at todays exchange rates, and it goes up here when it goes up over there.
Old Joke:
Q. Whats the difference between gasolene and petrol?
A. Absolutely nothing......but petrol costs more.
I know the exchange rate makes the gas prices in England look bad but I have to ask. Whats the average cost of living and average income?
Living in Ga. is pretty cheap but then the wages here are not the best. My cousin that lives in NYC makes more than I do but has to pay more for rent and other living expenses. I actually come out a little ahead of him even tho he makes more than I do.
A few weeks back I was riding down Rodeo Dr. in Hollywood area of LA, and it was 4.19/gal for full service. 4.15/gal for 87 octane.

IIRC the reason petrol prices are so high in europe and other places is because the taxes on petrol pay for the roads. In the US, the roads are mostly paid for by other tax dollars, like income tax, and then a little from gas taxes and tolls, depending on the road
Thats correct, a huge percentage of the the cost of petrol here in the UK is taken in tax by the the government. In addition each year we have to pay excise duty (road tax), currently its £42 a year for bikes up to 600cc. Using the bike on the road without paying this tax is illegal.
Gas tax SHOULD pay for road work... If you don't drive, you should have to pay for roads... If you drive an H2, you should have to pay more.
I also think auto licenses should be based on vehicle weight; the heavier the truck, the more they screw up the roads.
BTW, I also bought about 100 shares on the OTCBB of a company called Geotech Thermal. Then answer to all our prayers. Check it out!!! I got it about 6 years ago for $.05 a share, but it is a really cool company. Bound to pay off one day. When I am super wealthy, don't mind if I say I told you so.
