I'm certain that I've posted this before, but in case some of the new people didn't get a chance to check this out.........

Some of these are quite humorous and informative!

If anyone is wondering what DR stands for its an abbreviation for Despatch-Rider. They are motorcycle-couriers who deliver documents and parcels in the inner city. They rare known for racking  up huge mileages and spending as little as possible on maintenance.

I do like the stories.  What I don't like the articles where these guys buy a disaster of a GS with 48,000 neglected, rusty miles.  The thing barely runs, backfires and the rear suspension is warn, loose and on the brink of failing.  These guys then have the nerve to talk about how the GS's have no power and have poorly tuned carbs and such.  YOU BOUGHT A PEICE OF CRAP RAT BIKE!  Don't make an assumption about an entire line of motorcycles because you bought a rusted, misfiring peice of scrap!

Turd, I just look at it like..............you can drive a GS500 for years and years and tens of thousands of miles, let it rust in the weather, wring the living hell out of it, deprive it of maintenance and the sonsofbitches will still get you to where you are going and BACK.
Think what some semblance of care will do for one. I believe there are some on here from 1989
that are still going strong. One tough soldier. GS500E.

p.s. There are other brands of motorcycles on that site. A LOT of hilarious stories. Wilson

I agree completely.  I simply meant the people who buy neglected bikes and then have the guts to say that that particular type of bike is crap.  Maybe its just their bike.

Good stories though!
