Title: My new gsxr 750
Post by: blue05twin on August 06, 2006, 08:25:35 PM
Well I was going to trade in my GS on the gsxr 750 but was not happy with what they offered for trade in and decided to keep it for my commuter bike.  Here's pic of my 750

Got it Saturday at 2 pm and it already has 198 miles on it.   :icon_mrgreen:  Might have noticed the wife and I have this thing for blue / white bikes

Oh...my...crap...

That is absolutely gorgeous.  Wow...just...wow.

Congrats.  I'm glad the wife finally "won" and "forced" you into the GSXR.  Me = jealous.

It looks like he's very well off.  He's driving a brand new Pacifica.  I'm not into minivans but I always loved the gauges in that thing

Turd it's a elcctric green 99 Cobra Convert with Tan top and interior.  Brand new motor with under 500 miles on it so far.  It's paid off.  The Pac is my wifes ride I think it's a year and a half old.  We bought it new when our after our son was born.  I'm not rich   I wish I was.  But I do work alot of hrs 60+ a week and I work 6 day's a week.

Cool.

If I was in a better mood I'd be like ZOMFG and all that, but this weekend (end of my work week) has been hell so the only thing I'm excited about is Hot August Nights being over, and it being friday.

Now that I'm in a better (albeit more sunburned  :icon_mrgreen: ) mood DUDE ZOMFG!!!!!

God I want one so bad!!!!!!

The only problem is I HATE the droopy bunny ear handle bars. You know the ones I mean, all superbike bars... GRRRRR...

Lol

I find the bike very comfortable after we got it we rode about 144 miles broken up by 4 stops gas, taking pictures, getting drinks and stuff.  Never got sore or uncomforable.  Throttle is very smooth but I'm still breaking it in so not going over 7K.  The seat is actually very nice, my wife has not complained about a sore bottom yet like she used to on the GS.

It handles just like the 600 just has more power, on the 600 when you hit the about 8K thats when you really start hanging on to the bike.

CirclesCenter have you seen the Honda CBR6004Fi?  the handbars are higher on that one or do you mean how they angle back?

forgot engine gets really hot on both bikes

the 750 performed and felt better on the superbike challenge than both the 600 and 1000 siblings.  supposed to have a much better balance.

The GS must run really cool.  Both of the bikes I've owned since then have seemed really hot.  The Honda I am riding now is blast furnace.  But sooo much fun.

Nice bike.  I am always surprised how small they are in person.  Good use of a tank bag, BTW.

Did those bikes have aluminum frames?  Aluminum is an excellent conductor of heat; piping it away from the engine and under your butt / legs.

Yes, It comes with the pillon ( sp? ) seat.  You remove the rear hump and attach the rear seat.
