I went into Bettencourts Honda/Suzuki in West Bridgewater, MA today & asked about the price for purchasing, mounting, & balancing Pilot Powers. What I got was a f*cking joke.
Despite the fact that it took them 10 minutes to even FIND Pilot Powers by looking through 3 of their books.
Despite the fact that I had to tell them 5 times what sizes I wanted; and supposedly Pilot Powers dont come in a 150. yeah? Really? F*ck off!
Despite the fact that I said I am squeezing a 150/60/17 on a Katana 600 rim into the swingarm of my GS500; he goes ahead & assumes 160 will work fine, even though it's not what I'm asking for. NO IT F*CKING WONT B*TCH!
Despite the fact that they couldnt seem to understand that I want to bring in just the rims and have the tires done, rather than having to pay the tech to take them off the bike, do the deed, & put them back on & do the alignment.
Despite ALL THAT, what really bothered me was that the guy said he has a "special deal" with michelin and that he can get me both tires mounted and balanced on or off the bike for "only $330.36".
:o :cookoo: :dunno_white: :icon_confused:
what a load of crap.
the arrogance of people at shops & dealerships is rediculous.
I can get a set of pilot powers online (in the actual size I want!) for $230 & already know a guy that'll do it for $20 a rim off the bike, including mounting, balancing, and disposal.
watch your corn holes.
$330 is the cheapest price I can find locally for Powers mounted ON the bike. while it appears they're idiots, their pricing is good. If you're just bringing your wheels in thats not a good price.
$234 shipped from Motorcycle-Superstore.com for 150/60-17 rear and 110/70-17 front. They will be here on the 17th.
IF you know a tire guy nvm. but a lot of shops are leery of touching tires bought elsewhere. (liability issues)
i can get that fo youfor less than 240 then mounting so 280 or so
I got a shop that mounts and balances anything you bring in for 17 bucks.... its an awesome deal.
