Well I did my first track day on the GS500F. What a blast, I have never had so much fun on a bike before. I also can't believe how fast you can go on a GS if you keep your speed up in the turns. It was a ducati day so there was a ton of 996's with a mix of other bikes. The GS held its own with any of the bikes in the turns but I was parked on the front straight. (The turn onto the front straight is a very low speed turn, to a drag race front straight) I am going back for my second day in September and I cant wait. Here are a couple of pictures from the day.

Very nice, I can't wait to get to the track, it looks like a blast :thumb:
What kind of rear sets are those?
AWESOME :thumb:
what did u run for tires?
They are the woodward rearsets. They have an option to add the shift lever to the peg rather then extend the stock one. You just need to by the piece that goes on the shift shaft. It is off any GSXR. I used Metzler Sportec M3 tires, 150 in the rear on a Bandit wheel stock size in the front.
Alex
so what else have you done to your bike?
any suspension work?
I have the SM-2 bars, Racetech fork springs and emulators, Braided brake lines, EBC Sintered Pads, Bandit 600 rear wheel. Soon to go in is the GSXR rear shock.

Hahaha Nick, you kill me. This guys bike is an 06', has been modded pretty well, he posts awesome pictures of it at the track and you focus on the "slidders".
Awesome pictures and awesome bike Mr. Alexj. I am very impressed. Don't be shy to post more track pictures (or hell, even just bike pictures) in the future. We don't get many "track day'ers" around these parts lately.
