Yo wz up with the mirriors on the highway, i personally cant see squat, they shake to much :icon_mrgreen:
They work better on the handlebars.
Go slower. Slow down until things don't shake anymore. Then, when you're riding at 25 mph, go to ebay and buy some SV mirrors.

buy some SV mirrors.
+1 for both of the above. :P :icon_mrgreen:
ok, well try. but my dad says his shake on his bike as well
you use them !? i mean there on the bike ...but i dont use mine .. i always look ! dont trust the damn things :2guns: they get you hurt
I use a combo of my mirrors and the quick look over the shoulder. SV mirrors are pretty good at picking up what's behind ya', but I wouldn't count on ANY mirror to give me the full picture. :thumb:
Bar end weights there? They are there to reduce vibration.
i just use them to c if their are any cops behind me

Oh pishaw...you just like to say outrageous things to get folks all riled up! :P
They're really good for looking at girls who don't know they're being looked at.
So are sunglasses...duh!
My mirrors vibrate too much too, but when i need to see what is behind me i put my thumb on a mirror and it stops vibrating:) Else just get used looking around using your head.
Also ensure that you bar ends are there and tightened. Synching carbs also helps to reduce vibration.
thanks u guys, ill just pull in the cluth when ever i want to check back
Have ya' also checked to make sure your mirrors are bolted on tight? My mirrors have always had some vibration, but not enough that I can't see pretty well...just another thought...
What do you mean by you can't see? Like you can't see if there is a car behind you, or you can't tell if the car behind you is a cop in a crown vic or a grandma in a lincoln?
I find the later to be true and very annoying because I know I'm going to get in trouble one day for doing something stupid right in front of a cop.
its the cop part. like the other day i wanted to test if the toip speed had change on my bike and i had to turn orund to many times to check for cops.
Why would it have changed? Did you mod something?
I have yet to ride a bike whose mirrors didn't shake so much that I couldn't make out the type of car or who is driving.
But.....I don't think thats the point. when your riding on a bike, you shouldn't concentrate on whos behind you. A quick glance in your mirror should give you enough situational awareness to know whether or not car is behind you.
If your trying to make out if its a cop or not...well...some say you shouldn't be riding. But then again we are talking about the teflon don himself, little nicky.
:bs: I think it's important to know what's going on all around me, including what's behind me and what's beside me. I also like to know when there are cops around, because I'm sure not perfect when it comes keeping my throttle hand always under perfect control.
If those of us who like to know where cops are shouldn't be riding, that would make the roads VERY empty! :cookoo:
ya i moded it, i put a full system and an filter and it is so much smother on top end in 6th gear now. i found away around the cops this morning to test my bike again, do it in front of trucks.
My mirror has been working pretty well for me so far. I am not sure whether there is a different between the fairing-mounted and the handlebar-mounted ones. Mine is fairing-mounted (the F model), they look pretty solid and don't vibrate when I am cruising.
If I open up the throttle, then starting from around 8k rpm they start to vibrate, however that's also the time I won't have to worry about anything behind me anymore.
as for tha cops part do the obvious(if legal)and add a radar detector to your bike/they r legal in georgia so are strate pipes :thumb:
yeah but were can u put a radar
