Hey guys, I'm trying to get all the needed parts together so I can start riding once I heal. Finding gas tanks is a little difficult. Is it possible to fit another tank from suzuki to my 02?
yep, any gs tank will work. But , I would stick with a newer tank on your 02. The pre 01 tanks would look outdated....
Right, but can I use one from a GSXR or SV? I also want to have the bigger capacity of the 01+
I dont think so,Tim.... :dunno_white:

The pre-'01 tanks will bolt up, but the seat won't match correctly.

No.
GS500 tanks from 2001 to 2006 will work.
ebay had a 01+ tank for 129 BIN... I think.... if I remember from my midnight searches.
Thanks.
So how much do the vinyl stickers cost?
what are stickers for?
is the silver trim on the tank painted?

It's under the clearcoat.
Crap! So how much should a paint job cost to get it back to stock look?
well... the one I saw was bright yellow....
So, you'd of wanted to paint it anyways.... if you sand it yourself... probably 60 bucks or so???
Alright. Thanks guys, I'll see if I can get the dent on mine pulled and repaint it

Pssst.....I bought it   O0 :thumb:
I guess a big problem with dented tanks is rust on the inside. Right?
Correction: the tank I bought was black.
Here is the one.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4597484025&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT I've been watching this tank for about 2 months.

Just because it is dented on the outside does not mean it is rusted on the inside.
