Title: Swingarm Dimension needed
Post by: pantablo on June 27, 2003, 09:55:12 AM
Anyone have a straight swingarm laying around, or their rear wheel off? Could you measure the distance (clear distance) between the arms of the swingarm at the rear wheel axle holes for me?

I'll explain later...
Thanks-

I'm NOT going to take my wheel off to measure this. SV650 measures 9.25". We'll see if a sv650 wheel can be a direct swap.

WARNING!!!
Swing arm demensions vary greatly.

I measured a swing arm that dgyver has and 2 of mine. The B6 wheel we moched up at his shop, took it back to my shop and 1 swing arm need 1/8 inch to fit and the other needed 7/16 to fit.1 of my swing arms was on my running GS and the other was on a frame I bought.Niether had been in a wreak.Dgyvers measured at 8.75 IIRC and mine were 8.1 and 8.25.Hope this helps.OH.The Shinko 160-60 on a B6 wheel I'm running, is close.

This has been done on the German Wiki using a B6 or B12 swing arm.I have an 88/89 GSXR swing arm an it may work using it.I plan to try a 6.0 busa wheel.
