Title: ignition advance 2
Post by: will123 on August 17, 2006, 05:35:21 PM
just completed the DIY ingnition advance on my 05 GS500F/ just wanted everyone to know that it does work on the F models--- but the only problem i ran into was the screws that hold the plate on didnt want to come out, and i got one of them out and the other one stripped out ( and yes i was usin the right size screwdriver) so i got a set of vise cript pliers(think that is spelled right) and got the other one out with them. Now it definately runs better than stock in the lower rpms and takes off a heck of alot better. Thank yall for such a great website. :thumb:

Easy on the wheelie talk...that kind of stuff has been a sensative subject around here lately.

So you noticed a seat-of-the-pants difference?  I'm worried about detonation and I'd rather not run high octane in a friggin GS.
