Uhh.. Scotty would never have SEEN a shuttle of that type. Unless you've read the book Relics or the book Crossover

Yup. Scotty was presented with a shuttle as a gift ("long-term loan"), by Picard & co., while actually aboard NCC-1701-D.  On screen.

Hell, I thought it was a blanket too....



True... Relics was the book which was based on that episode.. or the book on which that episode was based.. not sure, actually..

I'm a huge trek fan and I get much crap about it on a regular basis. Though I wasn't positive, I was pretty sure the blue was warp plasma :)

Same, I thought it was a fish tank. I need to stop getting out of the house so much and start watching some Star Trek.
