Title: Another successful buell turn signal swap
Post by: Mr.7 on August 21, 2006, 12:44:41 PM
These look way better. Thanks to Pablo and his web site for inspiring me to get out and do this.

Here's the pics:

Oh yeah, I read somewhere that after you do this mod, the turn signals will blink faster because the buell turn signals suposedly have a different wattage of bulb in them but I experienced no such problem with mine.
After I had change the rears, the buell signals in the back blinked at the same rate as the stock signals in the front. Also, for anyone interested doing this mod, the price of the buell signals have gone up since Pablo wrote his instructions. They are now $11 and something, I don't remember the exact change, but be warned when you show up at the parts department.

Alright, I didn't realize how HUGE the factory signals are on the earlier GS's.  Nice swap!

The  blink rate doesn't noticeably change if you swap out only the rear signals.  But if you do the front signals too, then they will blink faster, too fast for my tastes

Stop standing up for me, we're like one drunken mistake away from being a couple as it is...

This picture is about a year old by the way. Since then I have taken off the back stickers, fixed the front fender (it had a melted spot in it even though you can't really see it in the picture.) and obviously the turn signals. Other than that, that is the way my bike looks. I should go out and take a new picture of the whole bike, but it's dark out now
