I was looking at my bike from a short distance (like I always do...) and I noticed how odd the red switch looks against all that black/white/blue color scheme.
I haven't investigated this, but is it easy to remove that switch and possibly repaint it? The only thing I can foresee being a problem is that extra layer of paint interfering with the operation of the switch (even though I never use it)
you can remove them...but disassembly is required. I prefer the all-fixing magic marker approach.
...on the other hand I've learned to appreciate the stark contrast of the "big red button." Makes me feel like I have lazer cannons or something.

If it really did shoot something out the front, I'd be happy to keep it red.

I know it sounds a bit squidly, but hey... I'm human.
I think...
To do plastics it is better to dye them

How do you do that?
search ebay for plastic dye.
You get the dye, you dip the part in and let it sit (depends on the dye too) and then let it dry out.
I'm kinda skeptical whether or not the dye really penetrates the plastic to change color....
It does. there are dyes made to specifically react with the plastic to alter the color. Dyed plastics tend to fade a little more redily, and sometimes they can turn brittle, but they do work. I've done a number of car interiors with dyes.
I do computer parts.
How do you think you match a DVD RW drive to "Sunset Orange" anyways? Freaking weirdos at the lans.
My box is black, with more black with blue lights insde. It doesn't matter how it looks, it matters that I kill you many many many times.

Well, not out the front, but you can always use it to make it shoot nice flames and a bang out the BACK.
Its Red and it contrasts so you can see it if you need to use it in a hurry.

I realize WHY they made it red... I'm just saying it don't match nothing. Also, I never use it.

Why is it that so many don't? It's way easier to reach than the key, and using it regularly means that you will find it blind in an emergency.
Vinyl Dye... You can pick it up at nearly any auto-parts store.
I used it on a buddy's X-Box Hacky-Ma-Jigger-Thingy to change it from Tan to Black... Easy-Fo-Sheezy... (I do listen to rap music)
It smells like death and WILL KILL YOU if you use it indoors... So, don't do that. :nono: Take the switch out, spray it outdoors... Wait for it to dry... Spray again if needed (again, outdoors)... Wait for it to dry again... Put the switch back in.
Krylon Fusion black. I used it to dye my windscreen.
buy a Harley... they come from the factory black... proof all Harley owners are squids
