Not that any of you might care, but I just got a lower fairing for my new bike. Purely a cosmetic move, but I like it. Here is an actual picture of the lower. It is red. I need to have it repainted.
Should I paint it blue to match my bike, or should I go with a different color, like silver or black?
And no, Destro, I won't leave it red. This is not a KU theme bike.

Here is my bike without the lower. This is the color blue. I am getting a quote on painting the lower. If it cost too much, I may rattle can the lower flat black or something.

that will look real nice once you get it on. I think it balances the bike out nicely.
Leave it red. Rattle can a white stripe somewhere on your bike. You can be super-patriot!
I like the look of it, I'd say get it done blue. Or better yet, have the whole bike done red to match. (Sorry, red's my favorite color..)
Thanks! I got a good deal on it. They can be pretty expensive new. Hopefully, even with a re-paint, I will save some bucks.
Actually, blue is a much faster color. Gloss black might look cool too. But RED is not an option!
paint to match. :thumb:
Go Yellow to match your rim stripes and shock :icon_mrgreen:
Or blue to match the bike either way it will look good on your bike
LOL. Yeah. Yellow did occur to me, too. I am having trouble picturing it.
There is a new product out that is a spray on paint shield that looks and works just like spray paint, but you can power was it off. I may try that with yellow (if they have yellow) before I have it painted.
I'm still waiting on the quote to color match the blue.

this group is pretty experienced with photoshop...LOL. they should be able to help...
I'll need to take a picture of my bike with the lower on it then, for photoshop to make much sense.
I am thinking of putting a Pablo head on the lower, one on each side, and another Pablo head on the undertail.

How will you keep all the women from drooling on your bike?
Just imagine this color scheme on your bike

Dude, I can't keep the women from drooling on my bike as it is.
When I look at that, I see that the lower is black and it looks good.
save money-krylon the flat black on there...
Okay. I got the quote back to have it color matched to the bike.
$75. Not too bad. I'll take it. I think I am going to have him add a custom graphic. You know, with the blue paint peeling back on the lower with fire or steel showing underneath it.
Any ideas?
I'm just kidding about that custom paint, but if you have a good idea, I'll listen!
Fairings = Evil
GS500E owner BTW.
God, that's gonna be hot. I hate you ;)
Thanks. It should have it all painted and installed in a couple weeks.
$150 if want some sweet custom painted graphics on there.
Oh yeah BTW, your bike makes me splooge.
