Hey all,
On Monday my house was broken into and my new (to me) bike was stolen. I don't have the VIN with me right now, I will post that tomorrow, but here is a picture of my bike if you happen to see it. I'm grasping at every chance I can think of to get my baby back.

Sorry to hear. Will keep a look out on your local Craigslist.org, someone else will have to take the fleaBay watch.
that sucks, It seems that there is about one bike stolen from someone on the forum a year, maybe two in a bad year. I hope that it is found and i will keep eye on ebay for sellers around you area that are parting a complete bike or lots of parts. other than that i don't think that there is much that i can do. Good luck and I hope you get your baby back.
Sucks to hear that.
Let us know if there are any unique things about the bike to look out for....modifications, damage, etc. I see that there are no stickers on the fairing and tail. That should be fairly obvious if it ends up being parted on ebay.
I will keep an eye out for parts locally also, sorry to hear that. Did you have full coverage insurance with theft insurance?
I would hate to here that your first bike got stolen, and your out that money without ever really riding it alot

Fortunately I do have full coverage with theft, but I want my baby back! I had her less than a month, it was my first bike and now the rest of my summer is blown as far as riding. I'm so pissed off at the scum that did this. I worked so hard to get that bike.
Thanks to all of you guys for your help.
Laura
That really sucks...good thing you've got full coverage.
You may not want your bike back though, the previous owner of my bike had it stolen from him. It's been beat pretty badly, not sure if the scum who stole it did it, or the previous owner.
If I was you, I'd take the insurance check and start looking around for another. End of the riding season is a good time to buy a bike, you can get a killer deal from someone that doesn't want to store the bike all winter...
Sorry to hear your bike was stolen, there seems to be in increase in stolen bikes around here ( Atlanta ) lately. +1 on takeing the insurance money and getting a new bike.
I will definately keep an eye out for you
You may want to put a post about this on mnsbr.com (Minnesota Sport Bike Riders), or let me know if you want me to post it there. That will get a lot more eyes and ears out there locally

THANKS!! I just registered on there and posted a note and the picture. Thank you very much for the tip.
Laura
Sorry to hear about your misfortune. :2guns: crooks.
If you like, PM me with the VIN and I will add it to my database. I've got a HUGE database of GS500 VINs from 1989 to present. If it gets listed in ebay, I have it.

FABULOUS!! I will do that tomorrow. I don't have Internet access at home right now, but I will remember to bring the number to work with me tomorrow. Thanks so much!!
sorry to hear that Laura.
I'm sure we'll all keep an eye out.
I've been broken into before as well (a long time ago in a temporary place I was staying) and it is not a good feeling. Try to stay positive and secure and soon enough, things will work out and it will be just one of those bad experiences from the past.
take care.

Sorry to hear about your bike, Laura.... We'll certainly all be keeping an eye out... :2guns:
Damn Theives.
On an somewhat unrelated note -- damn that bike looks good without the stickers! Wow.
People suck!
I'll keep you in mind when browsing through Ebay.
man that sucks but...
i like the look of the bike with out the decals... i may have to do that... o boy here i go again.....
I wanted to take all the decals off, but that would leave the tank decals. They're under the clearcoat.
the guy in the window looks suspicious laura...
