Title: How do I determine: Bent cam chain guides?
Post by: tussey on August 28, 2006, 04:02:27 PM
I'm wondering if I have bent cam chain guides? How would I check and what would be the symtoms?

as per this thread.

It was suggested I may have done this turnning the engine backwards. I did get confused and turn it the wrong way a couple of times (during a valve check), how likely is it to break something? I didn't hear anything snap or break.  :dunno_white:

i have turned mine backwards a lot,

valve check and chain ajust (without plugs in) and while checking the chain so.... i hope not, although that would explain the noises (taping coming down to idle after having it up to speed, when hot)
