Not a huge Kawi fan but I like how this bike looks, just need to change the exhaust pipe

better than the old exhaust design...

I beg to differ. The old one looked like a double barreled shotgun, this one looks like a cowbell.

Here's my post from a different board about the '07 Z.

I really like the 1st generation Z1000.

Correction. I LOVE the 1st generation Z1000. I think it looks absoolutely gorgeous and I love the stock pipes from it too. Freaky, I know.

This one looks just a bit too busy though. Naked bikes are supposed to highlight their mechanical bits, not clutter them up and make them hard to distinguish. The radiator shrouds, coupled with all that crap around the top of the engine just makes it look like someone threw a bunch of spare parts on it. Couple all that crap with the faux-belly pan and it just gets worse.

The frame covers under the seat and towards the footpegs look like a bunch of geometric pieces stitched together in any which way.

The front fairing looks like the previous one, but maybe just a bit more angular. The windscreen needs to be lowered just a little bit (it is a naked bike after all).

The front end is what is most intriguing to me, though. If they didn't cheapy out on the suspension like last time and perhaps used the 636 forks a lot of Z1000 owners swap out to, that will be most interesting. Radial brakes, petal rotors, inverted forks (with hopeful full adjustability on each leg). That front fender looks awesome, too.

Those exhaust pipes are hideous. The old ones look a lot better. What look even BETTER are these:

that looks cool alpha, but its not the stock design. the stocker looks like crap...a crappy double barreled shotgun if you must. the new one is only marginally better...still bad. no worse than the new FZ1 exhaust...

I GOTTA have more cowbell.

Yeah...  OK...  That does look stupid.  But, I don't like the old one either.

You know if it didn't polarize opinions so much I don't know if I would like it so much.....

Yeah, f%$k the cowbell.

That bike needs an underbelly can.

The 1st gen stocker is far better than the cowbell. It's a lot smoother and less cumbersome (although probably just as heavy). The FZ1 exhaust looks terrible in photos, but actually doesn't look too bad in person.
