so i just took the gs out for alil spin around the city. let me tell you i love it and its so much fun. it has plenty of power and is great, def wanna get progressive springs though. Too bad its raining here, i didn't go over 45mp but even that was enough to scare me, besides its raining and i don't wanna go to fast you know. I took good caution on my turns and covered the clutch at all times just in case.
One =ques though. i hate being on a bike is when its windy it really really affects u. Like a gust of wind came down and i could feel the bike lean alil to one side so i countered it by leaning the other way not turning, i want to be carefull in the rain, just wondering if that is the proper method to avoid heavy gusts of wind.
The proper way to deal with counterwinds is to countersteer against them. This is something that is covered in the MSF course, if you haven't taken it you definitely should, if you have, might want to look over your book again. Or check out Proficient Motorcycling.
That book is excellent. Being a new rider, I saw it at borders and figured it was worth reading. Not only does it have a lot of great advice and ideas for practice, its well written and even explains some of the phsyscs behind it.
