So, how fast have you guys been going on your GS's? Anybody bury the needle? Top speed for me was 190 kmh(118mph). Didn't notice any wobble or anything either. I love it!

I've had mine to 175 km/h as indicated on the speedo. I started to feel a little bit of a wobble and got nervous as hell. It was a long straight line and it was fun......once. Think I'll stick to more sane speeds from now on!!
120-125 some where there abouts on highway 36 :) on my way back from austin . was riding with a 900RR and we got on it .. ( or corse he made me look like i was just sitting there ) but if it was not for that truck on the side of the road ( looked like a state trooper tuck ) then i probly could have had 130(mph ) its just once you hit about ... 115 i think it is . it just takes so long to get the rest of it (if your all stock likeme )
All of the measured top speeds reported by the magazine road testers over the past 15 years have been between 99 mph and 111 mph. :dunno_white:

Yeah, those are actual top speeds. The ones posted in (most) threads are indicated speeds, as you could probably guess.
The GS isn't made for high speed. It just doesn't have the power for it.
180km/h for about 20km then my gaskets where stuffed so suzuki replaced them for free under warrenty yay
and befor u call me a squid i was doing it in a safe place (4 lane freeway in rush hour)
MACH 3.27 for me
x
i've had mine to 165mph ....
        yeah right
I've never done a top speed run.
My GS pulls to 90 pretty friggin fast...thats all I care. The GS isn't a high speed machine, so I hear.

Deathlucky, the only 'safe' place to be going 180 km/h is the track.

Ok how many of us reached top speed on our GS at a track? :icon_rolleyes:
Never really tried to get top speed out of the GS, was to busy haveing fun just riding the bike. Haven't even reached triple digets on the gsxr's either. :dunno_white: The fastest I have gone is about 90 mph on the 750 and that was to keep up with Atlanta traffic.
Maybe I have gotten old, going fast is not as big a thrill as it used to be. Now I have more fun just riding and enjoying the scenery (sp?).

I have. It just kinda chills there along the front straight for a few seconds at a time (gotta slow down when coming off the banked straightaway into Turns 1 and 2).

I can agree with that part. Buuuuuuuuuut.. how many of us reached top speed on a 4 lane highway that was jam packed at rush hour?

There are plenty of stupid Americans, don't get me wrong, but I have met many many Australians that seem to defy Darwin at all times. The type of people that, in the old days would have been taken out back and shot.
not got over 90 on the 750 really ? thats odd.. it seems no matter how old you get you would still like to see the triple trees from time to time . cusin got a 06 gsxr600 ( that he dont neeD! ) and i hoped on it ... pretty fast .. i got to 153 pretty easy with not much of a stright away needed .. man did it feel good though :P
ive seen 120+ mph. :o
that is on the street and on the track.
I hit 105 coming back from class today. That is about all she's ever done.
-ash
105 (ind) is pretty easy... Anything more takes some planning.
Yep I go cruising with the 750. Also do alot of twisties in the mountains on it. I want to do a track day , but need to find the time.
I belive Alpha you mentioned before you went in the triple digits on a public road? Think it was deserted at the time or something about there not being any traffic.
And how many of you belive that someone can do 180kph during rush hour? There's no room unless he's on the shoulder he's just trolling trying to get people stired up.

I would say none. how can you move unless your on the shoulder, and if you were on the shoulder you would probally lose control of the bike with all the ruble on the road, have an accident and die.

This is deathlucky we're talking about. Would you honestly be surprised if he said he WAS going down the shoulder?
To quote "deathlucky" from another thread of his...
