Title: GS500 and SV650 brake caliper
Post by: cmit37 on September 11, 2006, 05:58:06 AM
Hi,
I was wondering if the GS500 front brake caliper is interchangeable with the SV650 one?
The reason I am asking is because I found a place that sells a bracket that adapts a 00,01,02 GSXR 600/750 calipers to the SV650 forks.

Have you tried one or taken measurements? Just by looking at photos of both they look intriguingly similar. Of course this doesn't mean anything without measuring/testing.

It jsut requires that you make a bracket to adapt it, that is all they did to adapt the GSXR caliper to the SV adapter.

The bracket will require a milling machine, since you will have to probably account for a variation in distince from the rotor, so AL sheet wont do the trick
