Title: Euro Spec re-jet
Post by: Normal1 on September 11, 2006, 10:00:38 AM
I have a 02 GS500 (European specs) that i have change the stock air filter for a K&N (stock airbox) and installed the Vance&Hines Exhaust.  so now I'm having throttle issues tends have a slight stutter at steady RPM's.  So i was wanting to re-jett.  however Dynojet says they do not have a kit for European spec bikes and the local bike shops have said the same. :cookoo:

Does anyone know what the difference is and if there is a kit available for an 2002 European spec GS500?

I'm pretty sure they're the same.  Just follow the jetting matrix (http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Upgrades/Rejetting) or buy a jet kit.

It isn't worth buying a "kit" just follow some of the jetting recomendations posted here. I'm not sure about sizes for the 02, but plenty of people here do.

That's my plan to follow the matrix and get the jets, just want to know if there's a difference since Dynojet and dealers are giving me the run-around.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
