That's right, a FREE bike. Here's the link:

My question -- I've kinda searched around but found no definitive answer -- I'm wondering if any parts from the 550 are compatible with the 500. Dudes...it's a free bike and even if I can't get parts for my 'sick' bike, maybe I can pick it up and dish out 'below wholesale prices' to people who want them (mayabe something like $5 plus shipping for whatever :icon_lol:). If anyone here can beat me to the bike, by all means go for it. Sounds like a steal (maybe literally...I've emailed the seller about papers). Let me know what you all think!
the old gs550 is a inline 4 so no nothing will fit, classic bike though. same horseys as the gs500

sexually transmitted diseases can be free but that don't mean you want them.
check to see if it one of the 550's that has only two carbs for for cylinders (used a split intake)cuz if it is run like hell impossible to tune no parts available,JUNK!
OoOooOoooOOoooohhhhh.....
Me likey free.
You better pick it up before I get the keys for my buddy's pickup...
(Where I'd put it I have no idea, and I sure as HELL do not need another project.)
The GS550 - yea I split a rack of its carbs, and slotted in one of its floats onto my virago 1100. Looked nothing like it but fit and worked like a charm. Saved me $35 till I stupidly misdiagnosed a problem I had a few months later, concluded that that float was the problem, ordered it, and found the float on the wrong carb. AKA ... I forgot where I put the GS550 float, and completely shot myseld in the foot. But the 550 float did its job, It proved that the 1100 was capable of running and running well, and got me over my unemployed stage where the $35 was precious.
OH yea, shims are same as GS but the rest are useless for swapping out.
Cool.
Srinath.
get it. can't go wrong with free.
