What the hell!
Are they joking or what!
I went to a big motorbike shop in Penrith NSW, Australia looking for a right hand front indicator.
They had none in stock. They looked it up on the computer and said it would be AUS $89!!! (or $67 for our US folks).
They also said my right hand side fairing would be $600 ($450 US) without stickers!!!
Man we are getting ripped of down under!
A US website had the blinkers for $19 US and $90 for the RHS Fairing.
I could easily start a GS500 import business and make a killing whist still saving my customers some serious dough!
Anyways, thats my little rant, now I'm off to investigate the pro's and cons of getting my parts from the US of A. :thumb:
Did I mention in this thread I got quoted AUS $60 ($45 US) for two 145 main jets! :o
When I found out the price I said don't worry about finding out the mid main and pilot jets
might be cheaper to have it sent there from the USA but after you add shiping .. it will probly still be up there in price
Yeah I know postage can be the killer, but if I order multiple items at once it should help considerrably.
Honestly, postage out of the US is not that expensive, especially if you can go through USPS. I've sent several items to Australia, the most expensive being a rather heavy item for $30 US.
man, I just threw both my blinkers away after doing an integrator kit, I wish I would've known earlier someone wanted. Were those Gucci jets!?!!? Danm! anyhow, try ordering from the us for sure. heck i might even do it for you just to stick it to those retailing assholes.
If your going to fork out $89 for one turn signal then your better of handing over $120 for 4 Buell
signals. $30 each from Peter Stevens.
04+ GS signals are also used on the Busa. which is why there asking so much. 06 Busa even has clear lenses. Straght swap with ours.
Ring a wrecker & look in the Trader. Should be able to pick one up at half the cost.
