Anyone have a idea if a sv650 swingarm can fit on the gs.

the sv650 swingarm is wider at the rear (at rear axle by about 3/4") so it may not clear the exhaust.

I've been trying to get something else working in that regard.

Through Ken's help (werase643) I've discovered that a 88-89 suzuki gsxr 750 rear wheel will fit.

This is what he said.

remove bearings from both wheels
take the center spacer from the GS wheel and place into gsxr wheel and install new GS bearings
use the GS cush drive
use the gsxr rotor
use the GS wheel spacers
have to remove a bit from the OUTSIDE!!!! of the brake caliper mounting bracket...I think it was 10-15mm...I used a hacksaw.  Rough align it and you will see what needs to be removed
the gsxr rotor is a smaller diameter.....you have less brake material touching the rotor.....pads will NOT fall out....not a concern.
bend the steel brake arm to clear the wheel or get a piece of aluminum....MUCH lighter ....and fabricate...cut with hacksaw to length and drill two holes

bandit 600 wheel may fit without much work and sv650 wheel may fit with spacer mods...at least there are a few more options.

its not a big deal to cut off the material necessary for alignment of caliper and rotor. Ken did it with a hacksaw for chrissake!

i just got another 3.5 rear rim tonight...
I might do a conversion to show pablo and others....Yes i'll take pics
and send it to pablo

the GSXR rotor is smaller diameter than the GS...the pads will wear funny.....so you have to buy rear pads every....2-3 yrs   BIG DEAL

figures you'd get a 3.5 when the rest of the world want to up it to 4.5 from the stock 3.5...living up to your title, eh?
