Title: service manuals
Post by: sanoskai on September 18, 2006, 07:22:49 AM
I ride a 04' GS500 and am wanting to make modifications. I am wanting to get a repair manual for torque specs and ect. but the only manual I can find only goes up to 2002. Could I use a 2002 manual for most specs on a 2004 model?

If you are refering to the Clymer, then yes.

Go to www.gstwin.com (the main page of this site) and click on the AMAZON.COM link.  It helps this site function, and I'm not sure about anyone else, but I got my Clymer at a GREAT deal.  (Free)

They were running a promo.  If you signed up for the Amazon credit card (free) you got a $30 credit toward your account.  The manual was around $22 and I selected 2nd day shipping for like $8.50.

The clymer manual isn't bad, but the factory manual covers the differences between the 04+ and the older bikes.  Wiring diagrams, hose routings, front fork changes, oil cooler info, fairing removal...
