We went on a ride Saturday. On the way home, some dude pulled out from a side street, in front of my S.O. ( :o totally cut her off) I had recently put a stebel dual tone air horn on my bike. Welp I tested it for the first time on the guy that wasn't paying attention while driving. The guy immediately slammed his car over to the curb. I almost lost my bike I was laughing so hard. Although the guy wasn't paying attention before, he WAS surely paying attention after. The question is.... was it wrong that I laughed so hard at that dork?
ceek
No... It wasn't wrong.
Now, if he'd crashed and died and you laughed, that would be wrong... But, laughing when he shaZam! his pants after being a total jackass... That sounds about right to me. :thumb:
(http://www.pnwriders.com/forum/images/smilies/crackup.gif) OMFG...I've never seen a tank of a car move so fast in my life....he looked around for the truck that was going to hit him.... I'm going to burn in hell for laughing so hard, too!(http://www.pnwriders.com/forum/images/smilies/crackup.gif)(http://www.pnwriders.com/forum/images/smilies/crackup.gif)(http://www.pnwriders.com/forum/images/smilies/crackup.gif)
I need to get one of dem horns for my bike, too!!! :icon_twisted:

He didn't even look before he turned right in front of me, and just the
QUICKEST F'n glance would have (maybe) caused him to see me. Then he heard the 18-wheeler (or that's what HE thought) barreling down on him.... (http://www.pnwriders.com/forum/images/smilies/crackup.gif) Truly, it was priceless. He's looking wildly around for the truck, and I pass by giving him the evil eye going...
beep... beeeeep.... beeeeeeeeeeeep!
Is the one you used the Stebel Nautilus?
I've been thinking about getting a horn, as I drive on the interstate daily and wouldn't mind the reassurance a horn that doesn't sound like a little old lady.
So yeah, one that sounds like an 18-wheeler barreling down on them would be nice.
Or one of those old timey ones that go AWOOOOOOGA. Sweet.

awesome, i probably would have had to stop and take a laughter break at the jackhole. Yeah i think a new horn might be in order cause people with their radios up and not paying attension can't even here the little beep beep my little GS makes.
We were close to home...and we pulled into the drive...and both practically fell off our bikes laughing... We laughed for a long time.... I think the neighbors thought that the men in white coats would be showing up soon....
Not wrong at all. Wonder if that would fit on my wife's gsxr. :icon_mrgreen:
It's seriously a fantastic investment (though we didn't realize the entertainment value until he tested the horn).... We're STILL laughing!!!
I heard about these horns on another forum and bought some Fiamm El Grandes. They are loud, and like the name implies--big. Someday when I have a bit more wiring experience, I hope to mount them on my bike.

this set up is pretty big too....had a problem at first figuring out a place to mount em. The wiring...welp you have to put a relay in the circuit if you're gonna use the original horn button. Hot and ground from the battery(to relay)and tie into the old horn switch wire(again to relay) then a hot from relay to horn(and you also need to find a ground for the horn)
Where did you wind up finding the space to mount them?

my bike is an FZ6. There's a place above the magneto cover that it will bolt up to.
