Title: Tapeworks number plate panels.
Post by: Jake D on September 18, 2006, 03:11:21 PM
I may get flamed on this one, but I added some tapeworks number plates to the tail section of my bike.  I really like how it looks, but haven't gotten any second opinions yet.
Pics below.
Install wasn't horrible, but I spent a lot of time with the wet method install, aligning, removing bubbles, etc.  I think they are about as straight as you can get them on there, no bubbles at all.  Only one tiny flaw where one got wrinkled, about a eighth of an inch long.
Let me know what you think (and if your reaction is to call me a squid, don't bother.  I already know).

This final picture I took today.  It is a statue outside the KC police station.  It is a few yards from the door of the court house.  Cops hate lawyers.  This is a statue of a lawyer, standing on his breif case, neck tie around his eyes, fingers in his ears, and his left shoe is shoved in his mouth.  I have no idea what they are trying to say, but "lawyers suck".  There can be no other possibilities.

Is it reflective?

I think it looks kinda cool.

Nope.  Not reflective.  Just a small metal flake in it.

Thanks for the complements, Tad.  I appreciate it!

I'm still waiting on my Jardine exhaust to come in the mail.  Plus I am needing to install my frame sliders.  I've had them for a week.

Thanks.

They are silver.  It matches the rest of the graphics on the bike.

I'll get numbers when I actually get to a track for a race.
