Title: if you havent done this. you must....
Post by: rangerbrown on September 22, 2006, 10:24:34 PM
Ok fokes,

the past week i have done the following

race tech springs and gold valve, 10w oil 7/8 spring prelaod and (cant remeber the rest)
jet's installed, 22.5 pilot, 65 mid main, 147.5 main
14T counter shaft sprocket
pod filters
and exhust finished.

ok so how did this work, omfg this thing is 10X better. i cant belive i get to 110 this fast. it never stops pulling. the power is every were.

the growl form the pods is sssoooo nasty hell i think its louder than the exhust at times.

the gearings make the big diffrence, it so wants to come right up in 1st, second is about the same but a little work on the clutch and you could easly get it up.

the jeting made a wonderfull change, i only choke it 5 sec and then it's ready
how ever, i think i can get more, but three turns out ont he mix screw seems perfecto.

so if you havent done this do it, you will be glad you did.
i would unless you fill fine with doing so, to not change to a 14 form the 16 front sprocket, becuse it does make that big of a diffrence

well, not yet. i cant reset my trip meter at this time but will find a way shortly.

70mph = about 7k i think cant remeber, it just pulls so hard man i really wish it had a 7th gear now. lol realy if it had it theres no reson why it couldnt do more than a 130

i hit 120 and that was it, so i am thinking of going to a 15t and not the 14 on the next sprocket change.

i still cant belive how loud the pod filters are.

as for exhust i have a scorpin (micron if you will) SS for a 600cc gix on it and  it sounds so good

I've been really happy with the 15T. I've gotta get me pod's or a lunchbox... Jetted, V&H, 15T, and a UNI filter make it plenty perfect for me. It does wheelie pretty easily, but I'm trying to avoid that. I need to get all geared up and practice wheelies sometime...

yea, i was really  :o to see that the stock 16 was so eat up after 18k or so, the rear is in great condition but to be ecpected i guess as it turns more so natuarly more wear.

for the track the 14 will be best. i think i will slap the 16 back on to see what the jeting did by its self.

if its as good as i think i will oder a 15 and 17

17 for cruise (trips) and the 15 for sporty rides and then the 14 for tite tech road like deals gap and the track.

groovy stuff
