I was rinding last Sunday on the Los Angeles Crest highway, known to be very dangerous and causings a lot of accidents.
Everything was just fine for over 20 minutes, then in a split of a second I lost my concentration and crossed the double yellow line going head-on to the incoming traffic.
Thank GOD I manage to avoid all cars going to the other side of the highway!!!!
I've got everything on video.

Thought it looked familiar. This is why running hard up there isn't a good idea. Fixating on oncoming traffic is far too easy if you aren't paying attention. :dunno_white:
people like that taking videos like that on roads like that (then posting them to the internet) are one of the reasons that sportbikes will eventually be banned altogether in the US someday.

I don't know, people take videos of cars racing on the streets as well, so would they ban sports cars too? I don't think they will ever ban sport bikes or sports cars
video is history now. how was it?
hah, that's weird. basically a guy on a motorcycle going into a kinda high speed right hand turn goes over the yellow lines into oncomming traffic and he just barely missed them.

that guy is an absolute moron.
I'm still convinced that he clipped that first car before ending up along the gaurd rail.
When I was headed off of ACH sunday, I went down from Nukes to the AFH intersection, just to ride that corner.... what a moron that guy is/was
it definitely looks like he rubbed elbows at least with that car. either that, or possibly more likely, he had the rear brake locked up and let it go just as the car passed, so he could veer off to the other side. That would also cause the kind of shake you see.
True True...
you're talking about it initiating like a high-side or like he was backing it in???
like an almost- highside. if he was locked up and let go, then when the tire got traction again it would shake the bike, mini-highside like....
that dude is lucky as crap, he should have been road pizza.....MORON.
well, what makes that guy a real moron is a few things.
1. During the whole 27 minute video that accompanies that... he acts like an idiot on the whole thing, blows double yellows constantly, and throws up tripple digit numbers in some very dangerous areas.
2. Whats on the other side of that gaurd rail.... isn't much. It goes downhill QUICKLY.
3. He doesn't understand how dangerous it really was for him, as he posted in an almost bragging fashion
4. That road.... kills... and kills often.
