Have seen the new ones?
http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/GS500FK7/Default.aspx
I like the grey-black looking one.
Not too much new on it.
Yay for NEVER BEING CHANGED!
The blue one is the best.
i think the paint job on the blue 1 looks to much like the k5 i think the blue k6 looks better then both :2guns: :2guns:
Im not shure if i like the black or not.
I think you can get an '07 in blue for around $3500 here. It's called a blue 2005 model. Wink.
Dave
I like the black overall better.
But I like paintjob on the tail sextion the best.
I like the pink one with the flowers

Wonder what a fairingectomy would make it look like?
like a blue one with a fenderectomy.
K4 Yellow rules!!!
lovin the blackand gray.....
yellow needs a come back
i'm surprised they don't update this bike with an undertail exhaust and more storage.
or better yet EFI and water cooling, or hell 4 valves CYl, or better supetion (spell), or jet it right fromthe factory, or wider tires, the list goes on and on, and on
A Silver Tank instead of a Black one like last year. Thats INSANE!!!!!
Suzuki is out of control..

what would be neat is if they did a VSTROM version of the 500. an entry level city bike.
SV650S ABS? cool, didn't know about that... 900 bucks extra, dang

more storage??? what are we trying to mke this a sport tourer beginner or a sport bike beginner??
I think the good news is it that it is still available.
There was some talk about stopping it.
I've always thought the best upgrade would be Fuel Injection, but I bet
it would raise the price point too much.
Perhaps a naked model.
Glad I'm not holding my breath.

GROSS!!! :cookoo:
i just think something with more practicality and convenience features will help sell the bike to beginners. if i hadn't gotten mine for almost free, i would have never bought it. it's too impractical. i don't understand the sportbike fairings on something that you KNOW is going to be dropped once or twice. the thing should be quick, safe, and rugged.

I saw that too... it's also offered on the V-strom... interesting
edit: Interesting too is that it's only offered on the 650 models and not the 1000s
Glad I got the 2006 blue. Not liking the new paint. What's with the tail splash? That's just weird. I am glad they're still making them though. This means replacement parts will be available for a while longer yet. For when I wind up needing them.

ok...
check out the blue Hayabusa (http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/GSX1300RK7/Default.aspx) i hope some one got fired for that
but i love the look of the red or orange GSX-R1000 (http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/GSXR1000K7/Default.aspx)
I'll take the silver one anyday.
they didn't even change their description, except for the year!
2007 GS500F
When we introduced the totally redesigned Suzuki GS500F, everyone raved about its light weight performance capabilities. For 2007, the GS500F is back, boasting an unrivaled combination of exciting real-world performance and sporty styling - including a full sport fairing inspired by Suzuki's world-class sport bikes.
Just learning to ride? The GS500F is the ideal bike for you! It has outstanding maneuverability, thanks to its low seat height and light weight. And if you've been riding for a while, you'll really appreciate the GS500F's all-around sport performance. Its twin-cylinder engine offers strong acceleration and quick, clean throttle response. With its well-padded seat and smooth suspension, it also provides a comfortable ride on the highway.
Now's the time to get in on the action - on the 2007 Suzuki GS500F.
Whoever does the photos for Suzuki's website needs to be fired, and replaced with someone here at least we know how to take pictures.

Ohh, pick me! I'm an amateur and I would work for cheap, but I'd still take better photos than those guys!!
That blows, I really like the grey/black look, and was planning a winter project paint job very similar to the 07', I sort of wanted a one of a kind look for a GS500F, so now I guess I'll have to come up with a plan B, maybe Silver metallic with faux carbon fiber flame's, or something that Suzuki won't roll out for 08'+. :dunno_white: Now I'm thankful that I've been putting this off waiting for humidity and temp. to come down a bit here in Florida. Oh well back to the drawing board.

Dr. Love, I think RV assumed that yellow was defined outside the loop and just put in the important part.
I not only like the 2007 paint job on the GS500F, but I love em on the GSXR's too!
The longer Suzuki keep pumping out the same bike the better for our spare parts availablility!!!
Is the Blue different fro the 2004/2005?

Only color I like on the 07 gsxr's is the 600 red and white, if those were my color choices for a gsxr when I got mine I would have gotten a different bike. The new colors really suck. I want to go and see some in person to see if they are really as bad as the pic's on suzuki's website.

nope!
Quote from: Wrecent_Wryder on September 27, 2006, 07:15:15 AMWhat was really disappointing was that, while the other manufacturers were at least making some effort in print to attract some interest in their bikes, Suzuki had the smallest, least impressive brochure of the bunch, with exactly same same photos and text as the website, nothing more. I guess they feel they don't need to attract sales.
Dunno, it may be part of how they position themselves in the market. Suzi is always the most cost effective (god, how I hate that marketing hype, let's be frank: cheapest) of the four big Japanese; maybe the don't
want to be perceived as classy.
I think the price point of the bike is key to how they treat it.
It's the low end end, entry level, starter bike. I think they believe that the
lower the expenditures (includung add work apparently) the better off they are.
You would think that there would more some how. I don't expect EFI or ABS, but
you would think there would be a few tweals added. How hard would it be to engineer
a different tail piece? Or an improved seat?
I guess the upside is that as long as you like the color you don't get new model envy.

200+mph tauruses are far and few between.
The Hayabusa isn't "pretty", though...she has too many cylinders...

I agree that the Navy GSXR750 is a thing of beauty. Almost as nice looking at the maroon option of 2006. Suzuki gets points with me for the styling of the GSXR's lately. very sexy.
Was anyone else surprised that the SV only got an engine change (dual sparks) and an ABS option? History would have predicted a styling change this year. :dunno_white:
the 750 is supposed to have the most balanced ride, power, handling, etc. characteristics of the GSXR's this year too.

BOTH of those look better to me! there's too much roundie plastic on the Busa, IMO.
You know, Kawasaki's new zx14r is actually a tiny bit faster than the hyabusa. Too bad it's ugly too.
agreed. the side inlets remind me of the Crossfire.

Why do the worlds fastest bikes have the most boring exhaust systems?
good question! i personally like the way buell terminates their exhast cans under the bike, instead of up and around your legs/butt.
i also never understood why sport bike baffles are so bike, but cruisers can use straight pipes with heat shields.
