Title: Air/Fuel Monitors has any one played with them yet

i just saw this Air/Fuel Monitor (http://www.knfilter.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=85-2441) on the K&N web site. Has anyone every used one on there gs500 if so how did it go and how much do they cost.

the el-cheapo ones are not accurate except right near stochiometric value

the 500 one with the wide band...usually 5 wire....uego sensor is the one that works


not worth putting on a bike ...permanently
only need for long enough to tune then remove

Yeah, most 'A/F monitors' are just bling bling items.  If it costs less than $200, it's probably worthless. 

It have an Innovate (http://www.innovatemotorsports.com) LC-1 WBO2 sensor that I got new for ~$220.  It works well, but it's just the sensor/controller, so you need some way of monitoring it, either a gauge or a data logging device.  I use mine as an input to my engine management system and love it as it makes street tuning super easy. 

In all honestly though, it would be totally useless in a carb application and I wouldn't even bother hooking mine up to my GS unless I converted it to EFI.
