Well I'm trying my hardest to move here, but if I don't find some type of job, I won't be able to make the move. I'm primarily looking in metro San Diego, but I'll consider Orange County or L.A. (As I have not yet settled on an apartment/area yet).
My primary focus is I.T. (Systems Admin/Network Admin etc) but I have considered other fields as well.
Anybody have any leads, or know anybody who's hiring IT?
Thanks in advance if anybody knows anything that could help me!
My e-mail is in my profile, or you can PM me here.
Any good leads, I buy you a beer (or a lot of beers, if it's a good lead!)
check out http://losangeles.craigslist.com and from there check out the San Deigo CL too.
www.caljobs.ca.gov is pretty good.
The IT market here is quite screwd up. Its gotten better though so jobs are available now. I remember right after the big bust this place was buzzing.. every IT guy from the bay area wanted to be in LA. We still hadnt felt teh effects of the economy. Now its our turn.
Thanks. Never thought of Craigslist. Will check them both out. Any other suggestions folks?
I've sent out some feelers to my local groups...will let you know if anything LA area comes up.
I used to do a contract at HNC (La Jolla), there are a lot of software companies around there and I got an offer to do a contract at Qualcomm (La Jolla) as well. I got it through the SD office of Comsys...They have since closed...maybe I was the only guy that worked for them??? But contact them in LA and see if they have anything. BTW good choice on location...Most sys admins will try to move to northern CA...stoopid cos there is 10 times more IT unemployment there thna in So Cal..
Cool.
Srinath.
you have a PM...
