go together like peanut butter and jelly. So, who's got 'em, where are they located, and any pics?
Here's mine, upper left arm:

"They" whoever they may be say that Tattoos and seafaring go together as well but in my long career I never got any, can't say I'm sorry, nothing against them, it's just a personal thing.
No tats yet. Working on designing one that is of personal significance, rather than just putting some pattern on my body that looks "cool". Several piercings though, with more to come, I hope. (Piercings are addicting, and I hear tats are worse!)
I have gotten two tattoos, the first I got when I was 18 and the second I just got a few months ago at 34. The first tattoo was covered by the second.
Here is my latest:

Ditto Cal.
With prior military, sea service and bikes, still no tats.

I've wouldn't mind getting one, just my boys names & DOB. But I'm a big sook at just having a needle that I don't think I could handle getting a tat.
I havent gotten any yet..and to me...its not because I ride, its a big part of heritage. I havent quite decided what/where I want something but it will most definitely be something to do with my Native heritage. Most likely my clan and tribal symbols (Bear Clan and Mohawk possibly the Iroquois Confed. Symbol)
lissa, i like your ideas. I have two, both native american symbols (although I'm as whitebread as they come), but both of them mean something to me. My wife and I both love the Southwest and the first time we ever made it there I got a little gecko on my left shoulder, which both the Navajo and Zuni as well as others use to mean destination and also mountain. The last time we were out there I found a book on NA symbology and got the Navajo symbol for father's pride encircled by a sun that means happiness. If I can find a pic of it I'll post it. I got all my tatts, before I started riding bikes.
I have a total of 7 individual tatts. Here are a few.

I got this when I was 16... Jail-house style... By a guy that had been out of jail for 3 days... The needle was a sharpened guitar string, running through a mechanical pencil body, connected to a hobby motor, which ran to a volume knob (VarRes), connected to a 6v battery.
It took about 20 hours in two sessions... Then I had it touched up by an actual tattoo artist with actual gear, that was another 4 hours... And it's still not done.

My other one is on my ankle. It took about 20 minutes. I got it 'cause I happened to be at a tattoo shop and didn't want to take the time or spend the money for any of the big ones I want.

And... I have yet to get another... For some reason, I can't make up my mind about what I want. :icon_confused:

...between shoulder blades, designed and drawn by me. My brother and father have it also.

that's cool i want one too but just waiting on the right design thats personal.
That is what I did. There is no way that I would have one that someone else came up with just because it looks cool. Every line on mine has a meaning and it was completely designed by me.
