Driving through the city the other day and saw this:

A bit hard to see, but basically, a dude in full leather jacket, helmet, gloves, boots....and shorts.
It's like taking vitamins and smoking a pack a day- why bother? :cookoo:
haha well at least he is wearing something. Kinda like in the winter around here people where big jackets and shorts, doesnt really make sense. The guy that I sold my gs to was riding like that and he crashed. Everything was touched except for his legs and feet.

That would be more like wearing leather race pants, but nothing else... :icon_razz:

??? That would be like seeing my brother nekkid! :o :cookoo:
I saw a guy the other day wearing shorts, tennis shoes, no helmet, and an A-star jacket. :dunno_white:
The worst I've ever seen was a dude riding a bike wearing shorts, t-shirt & thongs (flip flops). He had a helmet on of course because it's compulsory here. :nono:
I've seen them like that but without the shirt and helmet.

Yeah. Very rarely do I see anyone wearing gear. Sometimes a helmet, but rarely much more than that.
it's becoming a bit more common here...but I think it's mostly because of the bugs.
My favorite was the kid on an older Ninja 600 next to me at the gas station a couple months back. No helmet, no gloves, no jacket, no shirt, no shoes, and the coup de grace: a giant, unlit philly blunt hanging out of his mouth.
He stalled the bike no less than four times trying to take off after filling up. I would have given anything for a camera.
meh...you gotta be able to distinguish between the people who think they're riding because it's cool, who think they're riding because they like it, and who think they're riding because they think it's a financial savior. He was probably one the latter.
I was talking to this guy the other week and he explained he always wears a jacket, gloves, boots, and helmet but will wear shorts when it's hot out. He told me he has been down in both riding pants and in shorts, and the damage was the same either way, so why bother with the pants. :dunno_white:
Personally, I'll stick with the pants, but it seems that's not that odd of an occurance.
My friends and I were out gear shopping onetime, and my buddy was trying on a bunch of different boots. There's nothing funnier than a dude wearing shorts and a pair of Alpinestars race boots. We decided that it's the male equivalent of the sorority girl wearing uggs and a miniskirt,
Personally the few times that I've ended up sliding down the asphault there actually was minimal difference in the damage to my calves between denim pants and shorts so I can somewhat understand that point of view...but it loooks SOOOOO stupid...
heck I wear pants for no other reason for that when my fizzer's radiator fan comes on the heat from the motor blows right on your legs, (very nice in the spring/fall) I'm not talking warm air here...NOOOO....like hair singing experience  I'm a quick learning grasshopper :icon_razz:
It's like masturbating with a prophylactic on........it's........it's.........."just not right"............
