Title: DLP vs LCD technology
Post by: The Buddha on October 03, 2006, 07:20:20 AM
OK I am planning to buy a Front Projector - you know the kind used for office worky type crap by suit wearing tight ass banker types ...
OK so which is better. I am More concerned with life of components and how reliable they are as opposed to actual pixelation etc.
Cool.

As I understand it DLP is better for movie stuff, LCD more for presentation stills. LCDs don't like the heat too much, so I'd assume that life of a DLP is better.

I have a BENQ wit XGA resolution DLP. I am very happy with the quality of the picture.

I am thinking either the HP XG-6830 - $799 on closeout if we can find it, or Dell 3400 MP or 2400 MP $1099 at dell .com.
Anyone know of one or other being better or worse.
Thanks.
