Title: First Thursday at Dulono's
Post by: manofthefield on October 05, 2006, 06:38:27 PM
For anyone who ever happens to be in the twin cities area around the first thursday of the month, I highly recommend you make your way to Dulono's Pizza for "First Thursday".  Here's what it's all about (http://www.motorbyte.com/mmm/pages/2003/56/reader56.htm) (most relavant info in 2nd paragraph)

I've been heading over there every month since June or July and it's a lot of fun to see the hundreds of bikes, especially all the crazy stuff.  I'd say all the motorcycle stereotypes are represented there: of course the old Norton's that started it all, other classic brit bikes, italian bikes and jap bikes, old and new beemers, sportbikes, harleys, tourers, commuters, two stokes, busas, a few scooters and customs of all kinds.  From brand new, high $$ raked out customs, to Boss Hoss's, to my favorite: the homemade choppers and bobbers with singles, twins, and I4s.

I think I saw 4 (maybe 5) Honda Hawks tonight and an 89 Honda CB1 (http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/121947/).  I finally got to see the one of a kind Diesel, hydrostatic drive bike (http://www.hydraulicinnovations.com/) and a T-rex (http://www.trexvehicles.com/) three wheeled vehicle.

One of these days I'll remember to bring my camera AND have charged batteries.

Fricking chicken-tease. I never made it over then when I lived there, and my place was all of 5 miles away.  :flipoff:

Someday I'll schedule a business trip for the first week of the month, and check it out.
