Title: oil Leak
Post by: rob1bike on October 07, 2006, 10:43:28 AM
Got a 2001, 6500 miles. The two hoses near rear  break lever, I guess they are breather hoses... One drips a lil oil... Bike runs fine...whatcha think?

Oil ... or is it oil+water+gas+carbon. If so ... its blowby. If its pure oil ... its overfilling.
Nothing much to worry about if its not that much. BTW ... make sure it has a cap on it, you dont want air getting in there.
Cool.
Srinath.

Ok, I figured it out.... Its the right side case, the bolts weren't super tight, I went over em with a wrench and its a lot better. I'd guess that seal is done. How hard is that to do? Take out the 10 or so bolts and replace it? Or is it more involved? Does the ignition advancer need to pulled? What's the scoop?
